Ayah - 88, Meccan
صٓ ۚ وَٱلْقُرْءَانِ ذِى ٱلذِّكْرِ 1
Saheeh International
Sad. CONSIDER this Qur’an, endowed with all that one ought to remember!
ছোয়াদ। শপথ উপদেশপূর্ণ কোরআনের,
بَلِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ فِى عِزَّةٍۢ وَشِقَاقٍۢ 2
Saheeh International
But nay - they who are bent on denying the truth are lost in [false] pride, and [hence] deeply in the wrong.
বরং যারা কাফের, তারা অহংকার ও বিরোধিতায় লিপ্ত।
كَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا مِن قَبْلِهِم مِّن قَرْنٍۢ فَنَادَوا۟ وَّلَاتَ حِينَ مَنَاصٍۢ 3
Saheeh International
How many a generation have We destroyed before their time [for this very sin]! And [how] they called [unto Us] when it was too late to escape!
তাদের আগে আমি কত জনগোষ্ঠীকে ধ্বংস করেছি, অতঃপর তারা আর্তনাদ করতে শুরু করেছে কিন্তু তাদের নিষ্কৃতি লাভের সময় ছিল না।
وَعَجِبُوٓا۟ أَن جَآءَهُم مُّنذِرٌۭ مِّنْهُمْ ۖ وَقَالَ ٱلْكَٰفِرُونَ هَٰذَا سَٰحِرٌۭ كَذَّابٌ 4
Saheeh International
Now these [people] deem it strange that a warner should have come unto them from their own midst - and [so] the deniers of the truth are saying: “A [mere] spellbinder is he, a liar!
তারা বিস্ময়বোধ করে যে, তাদেরই কাছে তাদের মধ্যে থেকে একজন সতর্ককারী আগমন করেছেন। আর কাফেররা বলে এ-তো এক মিথ্যাচারী যাদুকর।
أَجَعَلَ ٱلْءَالِهَةَ إِلَٰهًۭا وَٰحِدًا ۖ إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَشَىْءٌ عُجَابٌۭ 5
Saheeh International
Does he claim that all the deities are [but] one God? Verily, a most strange thing is this!”
সে কি বহু উপাস্যের পরিবর্তে এক উপাস্যের উপাসনা সাব্যস্ত করে দিয়েছে। নিশ্চয় এটা এক বিস্ময়কর ব্যাপার।
وَٱنطَلَقَ ٱلْمَلَأُ مِنْهُمْ أَنِ ٱمْشُوا۟ وَٱصْبِرُوا۟ عَلَىٰٓ ءَالِهَتِكُمْ ۖ إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَشَىْءٌۭ يُرَادُ 6
Saheeh International
And their leaders launch forth [thus]: “Go ahead, and hold steadfastly onto your deities: this, behold, is the only thing to do!
তাদের কতিপয় বিশিষ্ট ব্যক্তি একথা বলে প্রস্থান করে যে, তোমরা চলে যাও এবং তোমাদের উপাস্যদের পূজায় দৃঢ় থাক। নিশ্চয়ই এ বক্তব্য কোন বিশেষ উদ্দেশ্যে প্রণোদিত।
مَا سَمِعْنَا بِهَٰذَا فِى ٱلْمِلَّةِ ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ إِنْ هَٰذَآ إِلَّا ٱخْتِلَٰقٌ 7
Saheeh International
Never did we hear of [a claim like] this in any faith of latter days! It is nothing but [a mortal man’s] invention!
আমরা সাবেক ধর্মে এ ধরনের কথা শুনিনি। এটা মনগড়া ব্যাপার বৈ নয়।
أَءُنزِلَ عَلَيْهِ ٱلذِّكْرُ مِنۢ بَيْنِنَا ۚ بَلْ هُمْ فِى شَكٍّۢ مِّن ذِكْرِى ۖ بَل لَّمَّا يَذُوقُوا۟ عَذَابِ 8
Saheeh International
What! Upon him alone from among all of us should a [divine] reminder have been bestowed from on high?” Nay, but it is My Own reminder that they distrust! Nay, they have not yet tasted the suffering which I do impose!
আমাদের মধ্য থেকে শুধু কি তারই প্রতি উপদেশ বানী অবতীর্ণ হল? বস্তুতঃ ওরা আমার উপদেশ সম্পর্কে সন্দিহান; বরং ওরা এখনও আমার মার আস্বাদন করেনি।
أَمْ عِندَهُمْ خَزَآئِنُ رَحْمَةِ رَبِّكَ ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلْوَهَّابِ 9
Saheeh International
Or do they [think that they] own the treasures of thy Sustainer’s grace - [the grace] of the Almighty, the Giver of Gifts?
না কি তাদের কাছে আপনার পরাক্রান্ত দয়াবান পালনকর্তার রহমতের কোন ভান্ডার রয়েছে?
أَمْ لَهُم مُّلْكُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا ۖ فَلْيَرْتَقُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَسْبَٰبِ 10
Saheeh International
Or [that] the dominion over the heavens and the earth and all that is between them is theirs? Why, then, let them try to ascend [to God-like power] by all [conceivable] means!
নাকি নভোমন্ডল, ভূমন্ডল ও এতদুভয়ের মধ্যবর্তী সবকিছুর উপর তাদের সাম্রাজ্য রয়েছে? থাকলে তাদের আকাশে আরোহণ করা উচিত রশি ঝুলিয়ে।
جُندٌۭ مَّا هُنَالِكَ مَهْزُومٌۭ مِّنَ ٱلْأَحْزَابِ 11
Saheeh International
[But] there it is: any and all human beings, however [strongly] leagued together, are bound to suffer defeat [whenever they refuse to accept the truth].
এক্ষেত্রে বহু বাহিনীর মধ্যে ওদেরও এক বাহিনী আছে, যা পরাজিত হবে।
كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍۢ وَعَادٌۭ وَفِرْعَوْنُ ذُو ٱلْأَوْتَادِ 12
Saheeh International
To the truth gave the lie aforetime Noah’s people, and [the tribe of] Ad, and Pharaoh of the [many] tent-poles,
তাদের পূর্বেও মিথ্যারোপ করেছিল নূহের সম্প্রদায়, আদ, কীলক বিশিষ্ট ফেরাউন,
وَثَمُودُ وَقَوْمُ لُوطٍۢ وَأَصْحَٰبُ لْـَٔيْكَةِ ۚ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلْأَحْزَابُ 13
Saheeh International
and [the tribe of] Thamud, and the people of Lot, and the dwellers of the wooded dales [of Madyan]: they all were leagued together, [as it were, in their unbelief:]
সামুদ, লূতের সম্প্রদায় ও আইকার লোকেরা। এরাই ছিল বহু বাহিনী।
إِن كُلٌّ إِلَّا كَذَّبَ ٱلرُّسُلَ فَحَقَّ عِقَابِ 14
Saheeh International
not one [was there] but gave the lie to the apostles - and thereupon My retribution fell due.
এদের প্রত্যেকেই পয়গম্বরগণের প্রতি মিথ্যারোপ করেছে। ফলে আমার আযাব প্রতিষ্ঠিত হয়েছে।
وَمَا يَنظُرُ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ إِلَّا صَيْحَةًۭ وَٰحِدَةًۭ مَّا لَهَا مِن فَوَاقٍۢ 15
Saheeh International
And they [who now deny the truth - they, too,] have but to wait for one single blast [of punishment to overtake them]: it shall not be delayed a whit.
কেবল একটি মহানাদের অপেক্ষা করছে, যাতে দম ফেলার অবকাশ থাকবে না।
وَقَالُوا۟ رَبَّنَا عَجِّل لَّنَا قِطَّنَا قَبْلَ يَوْمِ ٱلْحِسَابِ 16
Saheeh International
As it is, they say [mockingly]: “O our Sustainer! Hasten on to us our share [of punishment even] before the Day of Reckoning!”
তারা বলে, হে আমাদের পরওয়ারদেগার, আমাদের প্রাপ্য অংশ হিসাব দিবসের আগেই দিয়ে দাও।
ٱصْبِرْ عَلَىٰ مَا يَقُولُونَ وَٱذْكُرْ عَبْدَنَا دَاوُۥدَ ذَا ٱلْأَيْدِ ۖ إِنَّهُۥٓ أَوَّابٌ 17
Saheeh International
[But] bear thou with patience whatever they may say, and remember Our servant David, him who was endowed with [so much] inner strength! He, verily, would always turn unto Us:
তারা যা বলে তাতে আপনি সবর করুন এবং আমার শক্তিশালী বান্দা দাউদকে স্মরণ করুন। সে ছিল আমার প্রতি প্রত্যাবর্তনশীল।
إِنَّا سَخَّرْنَا ٱلْجِبَالَ مَعَهُۥ يُسَبِّحْنَ بِٱلْعَشِىِّ وَٱلْإِشْرَاقِ 18
Saheeh International
[and for this,] behold, We caused the mountains to join him in extolling Our limitless glory at eventide and at sunrise,
আমি পর্বতমালাকে তার অনুগামী করে দিয়েছিলাম, তারা সকাল-সন্ধ্যায় তার সাথে পবিত্রতা ঘোষণা করত;
وَٱلطَّيْرَ مَحْشُورَةًۭ ۖ كُلٌّۭ لَّهُۥٓ أَوَّابٌۭ 19
Saheeh International
and [likewise] the birds in their assemblies: [together] they all Would turn again and again unto Him [who had created them].
আর পক্ষীকুলকেও, যারা তার কাছে সমবেত হত। সবাই ছিল তাঁর প্রতি প্রত্যাবর্তনশীল।
وَشَدَدْنَا مُلْكَهُۥ وَءَاتَيْنَٰهُ ٱلْحِكْمَةَ وَفَصْلَ ٱلْخِطَابِ 20
Saheeh International
And We strengthened his dominion, and bestowed upon him wisdom and sagacity in judgment.
আমি তাঁর সাম্রাজ্যকে সুদৃঢ় করেছিলাম এবং তাঁকে দিয়েছিলাম প্রজ্ঞা ও ফয়সালাকারী বাগ্নীতা।
۞ وَهَلْ أَتَىٰكَ نَبَؤُا۟ ٱلْخَصْمِ إِذْ تَسَوَّرُوا۟ ٱلْمِحْرَابَ 21
Saheeh International
AND YET, has the story of the litigants come within thy ken - [the story of the two] who surmounted the walls of the sanctuary [in which David prayed]?
আপনার কাছে দাবীদারদের বৃত্তান্ত পৌছেছে, যখন তারা প্রাচীর ডিঙ্গীয়ে এবাদত খানায় প্রবেশ করেছিল।
إِذْ دَخَلُوا۟ عَلَىٰ دَاوُۥدَ فَفَزِعَ مِنْهُمْ ۖ قَالُوا۟ لَا تَخَفْ ۖ خَصْمَانِ بَغَىٰ بَعْضُنَا عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍۢ فَٱحْكُم بَيْنَنَا بِٱلْحَقِّ وَلَا تُشْطِطْ وَٱهْدِنَآ إِلَىٰ سَوَآءِ ٱلصِّرَٰطِ 22
Saheeh International
As they came upon David, and he shrank back in fear from them, they said: “Fear not! [We are but] two litigants. One of us has wronged the other: so judge thou between us with justice, and deviate not from what is right, and show [both of] us the way to rectitude.
যখন তারা দাউদের কাছে অনুপ্রবেশ করল, তখন সে সন্ত্রস্ত হয়ে পড়ল। তারা বললঃ ভয় করবেন না; আমরা বিবদমান দুটি পক্ষ, একে অপরের প্রতি বাড়াবাড়ি করেছি। অতএব, আমাদের মধ্যে ন্যায়বিচার করুন, অবিচার করবেন না। আমাদেরকে সরল পথ প্রদর্শন করুন।
إِنَّ هَٰذَآ أَخِى لَهُۥ تِسْعٌۭ وَتِسْعُونَ نَعْجَةًۭ وَلِىَ نَعْجَةٌۭ وَٰحِدَةٌۭ فَقَالَ أَكْفِلْنِيهَا وَعَزَّنِى فِى ٱلْخِطَابِ 23
Saheeh International
“Behold, this is my brother: he has ninety-nine ewes, whereas I have [only] one ewe - and yet he said, ‘Make her over to me,’ and forcibly prevailed against me in this [our] dispute.”
সে আমার ভাই, সে নিরানব্বই দুম্বার মালিক আর আমি মালিক একটি মাদী দুম্বার। এরপরও সে বলেঃ এটিও আমাকে দিয়ে দাও। সে কথাবার্তায় আমার উপর বল প্রয়োগ করে।
قَالَ لَقَدْ ظَلَمَكَ بِسُؤَالِ نَعْجَتِكَ إِلَىٰ نِعَاجِهِۦ ۖ وَإِنَّ كَثِيرًۭا مِّنَ ٱلْخُلَطَآءِ لَيَبْغِى بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ وَقَلِيلٌۭ مَّا هُمْ ۗ وَظَنَّ دَاوُۥدُ أَنَّمَا فَتَنَّٰهُ فَٱسْتَغْفَرَ رَبَّهُۥ وَخَرَّ رَاكِعًۭا وَأَنَابَ ۩ 24
Saheeh International
Said [David]: “He has certainly wronged thee by demanding that thy ewe be added to his ewes! Thus, behold, do many kinsmen wrong one another [all] save those who believe [in God] and do righteous deeds: but how few are they!” And [suddenly] David understood that We had tried him: and so he asked his Sustainer to forgive him his sin, and fell down in prostration, and turned unto Him in repentance.
দাউদ বললঃ সে তোমার দুম্বাটিকে নিজের দুম্বাগুলোর সাথে সংযুক্ত করার দাবী করে তোমার প্রতি অবিচার করেছে। শরীকদের অনেকেই একে অপরের প্রতি জুলুম করে থাকে। তবে তারা করে না, যারা আল্লাহর প্রতি বিশ্বাসী ও সৎকর্ম সম্পাদনকারী। অবশ্য এমন লোকের সংখ্যা অল্প। দাউদের খেয়াল হল যে, আমি তাকে পরীক্ষা করছি। অতঃপর সে তার পালনকর্তার কাছে ক্ষমা প্রার্থনা করল, সেজদায় লুটিয়ে পড়ল এবং তাঁর দিকে প্রত্যাবর্তন করল।
فَغَفَرْنَا لَهُۥ ذَٰلِكَ ۖ وَإِنَّ لَهُۥ عِندَنَا لَزُلْفَىٰ وَحُسْنَ مَـَٔابٍۢ 25
Saheeh International
And thereupon We forgave him that [sin]: and, verily, nearness to Us awaits him [in the life to come], and the most beauteous of all goals!
আমি তার সে অপরাধ ক্ষমা করলাম। নিশ্চয় আমার কাছে তার জন্যে রয়েছে উচ্চ মর্তবা ও সুন্দর আবাসস্থল।
يَٰدَاوُۥدُ إِنَّا جَعَلْنَٰكَ خَلِيفَةًۭ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَٱحْكُم بَيْنَ ٱلنَّاسِ بِٱلْحَقِّ وَلَا تَتَّبِعِ ٱلْهَوَىٰ فَيُضِلَّكَ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ ۚ إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يَضِلُّونَ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌۭ شَدِيدٌۢ بِمَا نَسُوا۟ يَوْمَ ٱلْحِسَابِ 26
Saheeh International
[And We said:] “O David! Behold, We have made thee a [prophet and, thus, Our] vicegerent on earth: judge, then, between men with justice, and do not follow vain desire, lest it lead thee astray from the path of God: verily, for those who go astray from the path of God there is suffering severe in store for having forgotten the Day of Reckoning!”
হে দাউদ! আমি তোমাকে পৃথিবীতে প্রতিনিধি করেছি, অতএব, তুমি মানুষের মাঝে ন্যায়সঙ্গতভাবে রাজত্ব কর এবং খেয়াল-খুশীর অনুসরণ করো না। তা তোমাকে আল্লাহর পথ থেকে বিচ্যুত করে দেবে। নিশ্চয় যারা আল্লাহর পথ থেকে বিচ্যুত হয়, তাদের জন্যে রয়েছে কঠোর শাস্তি, এ কারণে যে, তারা হিসাবদিবসকে ভূলে যায়।
وَمَا خَلَقْنَا ٱلسَّمَآءَ وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا بَٰطِلًۭا ۚ ذَٰلِكَ ظَنُّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ ۚ فَوَيْلٌۭ لِّلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِنَ ٱلنَّارِ 27
Saheeh International
AND [thus it is:] We have not created heaven and earth and all that is between them without meaning and purpose, as is the surmise of those who are bent on denying the truth: but then, woe from the fire [of hell] unto all who are bent on denying the truth!
আমি আসমান-যমীন ও এতদুভয়ের মধ্যবর্তী কোন কিছু অযথা সৃষ্টি করিনি। এটা কাফেরদের ধারণা। অতএব, কাফেরদের জন্যে রয়েছে দূর্ভোগ অর্থাৎ জাহান্নাম।
أَمْ نَجْعَلُ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ كَٱلْمُفْسِدِينَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ أَمْ نَجْعَلُ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ كَٱلْفُجَّارِ 28
Saheeh International
[For,] would We treat those who have attained to faith and do righteous deeds in the same manner as [We shall treat] those who spread corruption on earth? Would We treat the God-conscious in the same manner as the wicked?
আমি কি বিশ্বাসী ও সৎকর্মীদেরকে পৃথিবীতে বিপর্যয় সৃষ্টিকারী কাফেরদের সমতুল্য করে দেব? না খোদাভীরুদেরকে পাপাচারীদের সম্মান করে দেব।
كِتَٰبٌ أَنزَلْنَٰهُ إِلَيْكَ مُبَٰرَكٌۭ لِّيَدَّبَّرُوٓا۟ ءَايَٰتِهِۦ وَلِيَتَذَكَّرَ أُو۟لُوا۟ ٱلْأَلْبَٰبِ 29
Saheeh International
[All this have We expounded in this] blessed divine writ which We have revealed unto thee, [O Muhammad,] so that men may ponder over its messages, and that those who are endowed with insight may take them to heart.
এটি একটি বরকতময় কিতাব, যা আমি আপনার প্রতি বরকত হিসেবে অবতীর্ণ করেছি, যাতে মানুষ এর আয়াতসূহ লক্ষ্য করে এবং বুদ্ধিমানগণ যেন তা অনুধাবন করে।
وَوَهَبْنَا لِدَاوُۥدَ سُلَيْمَٰنَ ۚ نِعْمَ ٱلْعَبْدُ ۖ إِنَّهُۥٓ أَوَّابٌ 30
Saheeh International
AND UNTO DAVID We granted Solomon [as a son - and] how excellent a servant [of Ours he grew up to be]! Behold, he would always turn unto Us -
আমি দাউদকে সোলায়মান দান করেছি। সে একজন উত্তম বান্দা। সে ছিল প্রত্যাবর্তনশীল।
إِذْ عُرِضَ عَلَيْهِ بِٱلْعَشِىِّ ٱلصَّٰفِنَٰتُ ٱلْجِيَادُ 31
Saheeh International
[and even] when, towards the close of day, nobly-bred, swift-footed steeds were brought before him,
যখন তার সামনে অপরাহ্নে উৎকৃষ্ট অশ্বরাজি পেশ করা হল,
فَقَالَ إِنِّىٓ أَحْبَبْتُ حُبَّ ٱلْخَيْرِ عَن ذِكْرِ رَبِّى حَتَّىٰ تَوَارَتْ بِٱلْحِجَابِ 32
Saheeh International
he would say, “Verily, I have come to love the love of all that is good because I bear my Sustainer in mind!” [repeating these words as the steeds raced away,] until they were hidden by the veil [of distance - whereupon he would command],
তখন সে বললঃ আমি তো আমার পরওয়ারদেগারের স্মরণে বিস্মৃত হয়ে সম্পদের মহব্বতে মুগ্ধ হয়ে পড়েছি-এমনকি সূর্য ডুবে গেছে।
رُدُّوهَا عَلَىَّ ۖ فَطَفِقَ مَسْحًۢا بِٱلسُّوقِ وَٱلْأَعْنَاقِ 33
Saheeh International
“Bring them back unto me!”- and would [lovingly] stroke their legs and their necks.
এগুলোকে আমার কাছে ফিরিয়ে আন। অতঃপর সে তাদের পা ও গলদেশ ছেদন করতে শুরু করল।
وَلَقَدْ فَتَنَّا سُلَيْمَٰنَ وَأَلْقَيْنَا عَلَىٰ كُرْسِيِّهِۦ جَسَدًۭا ثُمَّ أَنَابَ 34
Saheeh International
But [ere this], indeed, We had tried Solomon by placing upon his throne a [lifeless] body; and thereupon he turned [towards Us; and]
আমি সোলায়মানকে পরীক্ষা করলাম এবং রেখে দিলাম তার সিংহাসনের উপর একটি নিস্প্রাণ দেহ। অতঃপর সে রুজু হল।
قَالَ رَبِّ ٱغْفِرْ لِى وَهَبْ لِى مُلْكًۭا لَّا يَنۢبَغِى لِأَحَدٍۢ مِّنۢ بَعْدِىٓ ۖ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ ٱلْوَهَّابُ 35
Saheeh International
he prayed: “O my Sustainer! Forgive me my sins, and bestow upon me the gift of a kingdom which may not suit anyone after me: verily, Thou alone art a giver of gifts!”
সোলায়মান বললঃ হে আমার পালনকর্তা, আমাকে মাফ করুন এবং আমাকে এমন সাম্রাজ্য দান করুন যা আমার পরে আর কেউ পেতে পারবে না। নিশ্চয় আপনি মহাদাতা।
فَسَخَّرْنَا لَهُ ٱلرِّيحَ تَجْرِى بِأَمْرِهِۦ رُخَآءً حَيْثُ أَصَابَ 36
Saheeh International
And so We made subservient to him the wind, so that it gently sped at his behest whithersoever he willed,
তখন আমি বাতাসকে তার অনুগত করে দিলাম, যা তার হুকুমে অবাধে প্রবাহিত হত যেখানে সে পৌছাতে চাইত।
وَٱلشَّيَٰطِينَ كُلَّ بَنَّآءٍۢ وَغَوَّاصٍۢ 37
Saheeh International
as well as all the rebellious forces [that We made to work for him] - every kind of builder and diver -
আর সকল শয়তানকে তার অধীন করে দিলাম অর্থৎ, যারা ছিল প্রাসাদ নির্মাণকারী ও ডুবুরী।
وَءَاخَرِينَ مُقَرَّنِينَ فِى ٱلْأَصْفَادِ 38
Saheeh International
and others linked together in fetters.
এবং অন্য আরও অনেককে অধীন করে দিলাম, যারা আবদ্ধ থাকত শৃঙ্খলে।
هَٰذَا عَطَآؤُنَا فَٱمْنُنْ أَوْ أَمْسِكْ بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍۢ 39
Saheeh International
[And We told him:] “This is Our gift, for thee to bestow freely on others, or to withhold, without [having to render] account!”
এগুলো আমার অনুগ্রহ, অতএব, এগুলো কাউকে দাও অথবা নিজে রেখে দাও-এর কোন হিসেব দিতে হবে না।
وَإِنَّ لَهُۥ عِندَنَا لَزُلْفَىٰ وَحُسْنَ مَـَٔابٍۢ 40
Saheeh International
And, verily, nearness to Us awaits him [in the life to come], and the most beauteous of all goals!
নিশ্চয় তার জন্যে আমার কাছে রয়েছে মর্যাদা ও শুভ পরিণতি।
وَٱذْكُرْ عَبْدَنَآ أَيُّوبَ إِذْ نَادَىٰ رَبَّهُۥٓ أَنِّى مَسَّنِىَ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ بِنُصْبٍۢ وَعَذَابٍ 41
Saheeh International
AND CALL to mind Our servant Job, [how it was] when he cried out to his Sustainer, “Behold, Satan has afflicted me with [utter] weariness and suffering!”
স্মরণ করুণ, আমার বান্দা আইয়্যুবের কথা, যখন সে তার পালনকর্তাকে আহবান করে বললঃ শয়তান আমাকে যন্ত্রণা ও কষ্ট পৌছিয়েছে।
ٱرْكُضْ بِرِجْلِكَ ۖ هَٰذَا مُغْتَسَلٌۢ بَارِدٌۭ وَشَرَابٌۭ 42
Saheeh International
[and thereupon was told:] “Strike [the ground] with thy foot: here is cool water to wash with and to drink!”
তুমি তোমার পা দিয়ে ভূমিতে আঘাত কর। ঝরণা নির্গত হল গোসল করার জন্যে শীতল ও পান করার জন্যে।
وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُۥٓ أَهْلَهُۥ وَمِثْلَهُم مَّعَهُمْ رَحْمَةًۭ مِّنَّا وَذِكْرَىٰ لِأُو۟لِى ٱلْأَلْبَٰبِ 43
Saheeh International
And We bestowed upon him new offspring, doubling their number as an act of grace from Us, and as a reminder unto all who are endowed with insight.
আমি তাকে দিলাম তার পরিজনবর্গ ও তাদের মত আরও অনেক আমার পক্ষ থেকে রহমতস্বরূপ এবং বুদ্ধিমানদের জন্যে উপদেশস্বরূপ।
وَخُذْ بِيَدِكَ ضِغْثًۭا فَٱضْرِب بِّهِۦ وَلَا تَحْنَثْ ۗ إِنَّا وَجَدْنَٰهُ صَابِرًۭا ۚ نِّعْمَ ٱلْعَبْدُ ۖ إِنَّهُۥٓ أَوَّابٌۭ 44
Saheeh International
[And finally We told him:] “Now take in thy hand a small bunch of grass, and strike therewith, and thou wilt not break thine oath!” for, verily, We found him full of patience in adversity: how excellent a servant [of Ours], who, behold, would always turn unto Us!
তুমি তোমার হাতে এক মুঠো তৃণশলা নাও, তদ্বারা আঘাত কর এবং শপথ ভঙ্গ করো না। আমি তাকে পেলাম সবরকারী। চমৎকার বান্দা সে। নিশ্চয় সে ছিল প্রত্যাবর্তনশীল।
وَٱذْكُرْ عِبَٰدَنَآ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ وَإِسْحَٰقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ أُو۟لِى ٱلْأَيْدِى وَٱلْأَبْصَٰرِ 45
Saheeh International
AND CALL to mind Our servants Abraham and Isaac and Jacob, [all of them] endowed with inner strength and vision:
স্মরণ করুন, হাত ও চোখের অধিকারী আমার বান্দা ইব্রাহীম, ইসহাক ও ইয়াকুবের কথা।
إِنَّآ أَخْلَصْنَٰهُم بِخَالِصَةٍۢ ذِكْرَى ٱلدَّارِ 46
Saheeh International
for, verily, We purified them by means of a thought most pure: the remembrance of the life to come.
আমি তাদের এক বিশেষ গুণ তথা পরকালের স্মরণ দ্বারা স্বাতন্ত্র্য দান করেছিলাম।
وَإِنَّهُمْ عِندَنَا لَمِنَ ٱلْمُصْطَفَيْنَ ٱلْأَخْيَارِ 47
Saheeh International
And, behold, in Our sight they were indeed among the elect, the truly good!
আর তারা আমার কাছে মনোনীত ও সৎলোকদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত।
وَٱذْكُرْ إِسْمَٰعِيلَ وَٱلْيَسَعَ وَذَا ٱلْكِفْلِ ۖ وَكُلٌّۭ مِّنَ ٱلْأَخْيَارِ 48
Saheeh International
And call to mind Ishmael and Elisha, and every one who [like them] has pledged himself [unto Us]: for, each of them was of the truly good!
স্মরণ করুণ, ইসমাঈল, আল ইয়াসা ও যুলকিফলের কথা। তারা প্রত্যেকেই গুনীজন।
هَٰذَا ذِكْرٌۭ ۚ وَإِنَّ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ لَحُسْنَ مَـَٔابٍۢ 49
Saheeh International
LET [all] this be a reminder [to those who believe in God] - for, verily, the most beauteous of all goals awaits the God-conscious:
এ এক মহৎ আলোচনা। খোদাভীরুদের জন্যে রয়েছে উত্তম ঠিকানা-
جَنَّٰتِ عَدْنٍۢ مُّفَتَّحَةًۭ لَّهُمُ ٱلْأَبْوَٰبُ 50
Saheeh International
gardens of perpetual bliss, with gates wide-open to them,
তথা স্থায়ী বসবাসের জান্নাত; তাদের জন্যে তার দ্বার উম্মুক্ত রয়েছে।
مُتَّكِـِٔينَ فِيهَا يَدْعُونَ فِيهَا بِفَٰكِهَةٍۢ كَثِيرَةٍۢ وَشَرَابٍۢ 51
Saheeh International
wherein they will recline, [and] wherein they may [freely] call for many a fruit and drink,
সেখানে তারা হেলান দিয়ে বসবে। তারা সেখানে চাইবে অনেক ফল-মূল ও পানীয়।
۞ وَعِندَهُمْ قَٰصِرَٰتُ ٱلطَّرْفِ أَتْرَابٌ 52
Saheeh International
having beside them well-matched mates of modest gaze.”
তাদের কাছে থাকবে আনতনয়না সমবয়স্কা রমণীগণ।
هَٰذَا مَا تُوعَدُونَ لِيَوْمِ ٱلْحِسَابِ 53
Saheeh International
This is what you are promised for the Day of Reckoning:
তোমাদেরকে এরই প্রতিশ্রুতি দেয়া হচ্ছে বিচার দিবসের জন্যে।
إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَرِزْقُنَا مَا لَهُۥ مِن نَّفَادٍ 54
Saheeh International
this, verily, shall be Our provision [for you], with no end to it!
এটা আমার দেয়া রিযিক যা শেষ হবে না।
هَٰذَا ۚ وَإِنَّ لِلطَّٰغِينَ لَشَرَّ مَـَٔابٍۢ 55
Saheeh International
All this [for the righteous]: but, verily, the most evil of all goals awaits those who are wont to transgress the bounds of what is right:
এটাতো শুনলে, এখন দুষ্টদের জন্যে রয়েছে নিকৃষ্ট ঠিকানা
جَهَنَّمَ يَصْلَوْنَهَا فَبِئْسَ ٱلْمِهَادُ 56
Saheeh International
hell will they have to endure - and how vile a resting-place!
তথা জাহান্নাম। তারা সেখানে প্রবেশ করবে। অতএব, কত নিকৃষ্ট সেই আবাস স্থল।
هَٰذَا فَلْيَذُوقُوهُ حَمِيمٌۭ وَغَسَّاقٌۭ 57
Saheeh International
This, [then, for them -] so let them taste it: burning despair and ice-cold darkness
এটা উত্তপ্ত পানি ও পঁূজ; অতএব তারা একে আস্বাদন করুক।
وَءَاخَرُ مِن شَكْلِهِۦٓ أَزْوَٰجٌ 58
Saheeh International
and, coupled with it, further [suffering] of a similar nature.
এ ধরনের আরও কিছু শাস্তি আছে।
هَٰذَا فَوْجٌۭ مُّقْتَحِمٌۭ مَّعَكُمْ ۖ لَا مَرْحَبًۢا بِهِمْ ۚ إِنَّهُمْ صَالُوا۟ ٱلنَّارِ 59
Saheeh International
[And they will say to one another: “Do you see] this crowd of people who rushed headlong [into sin] with you? No welcome to them! Verily, they [too] shall have to endure the fire!”
এই তো একদল তোমাদের সাথে প্রবেশ করছে। তাদের জন্যে অভিনন্দন নেই তারা তো জাহান্নামে প্রবেশ করবে।
قَالُوا۟ بَلْ أَنتُمْ لَا مَرْحَبًۢا بِكُمْ ۖ أَنتُمْ قَدَّمْتُمُوهُ لَنَا ۖ فَبِئْسَ ٱلْقَرَارُ 60
Saheeh International
[And] they [who had been seduced] will exclaim: “Nay, but it is you! No welcome to you! It is you who have prepared this for us: and how vile a state to abide in!”
তারা বলবে, তোমাদের জন্যে ও তো অভিনন্দন নেই। তোমরাই আমাদেরকে এ বিপদের সম্মুখীন করেছ। অতএব, এটি কতই না ঘৃণ্য আবাসস্থল।
قَالُوا۟ رَبَّنَا مَن قَدَّمَ لَنَا هَٰذَا فَزِدْهُ عَذَابًۭا ضِعْفًۭا فِى ٱلنَّارِ 61
Saheeh International
[And] they will pray: “O our Sustainer! Whoever has prepared this for us, double Thou his suffering in the fire!”
তারা বলবে, হে আমাদের পালনকর্তা, যে আমাদেরকে এর সম্মুখীন করেছে, আপনি জাহান্নামে তার শাস্তি দ্বিগুণ করে দিন।
وَقَالُوا۟ مَا لَنَا لَا نَرَىٰ رِجَالًۭا كُنَّا نَعُدُّهُم مِّنَ ٱلْأَشْرَارِ 62
Saheeh International
And they will add: “How is it that we do not see [here any of the] men whom we were wont to count among the wicked,
তারা আরও বলবে, আমাদের কি হল যে, আমরা যাদেরকে মন্দ লোক বলে গণ্য করতাম, তাদেরকে এখানে দেখছি না।
أَتَّخَذْنَٰهُمْ سِخْرِيًّا أَمْ زَاغَتْ عَنْهُمُ ٱلْأَبْصَٰرُ 63
Saheeh International
[and] whom we made the target of our derision? Or is it that [they are here, and] our eyes have missed them?”
আমরা কি অহেতুক তাদেরকে ঠাট্টার পাত্র করে নিয়েছিলাম, না আমাদের দৃষ্টি ভুল করছে?
إِنَّ ذَٰلِكَ لَحَقٌّۭ تَخَاصُمُ أَهْلِ ٱلنَّارِ 64
Saheeh International
Such, behold, will in truth be the [confusion and] mutual wrangling of the people of the fire!
এটা অর্থাৎ জাহান্নামীদের পারস্পরিক বাক-বিতন্ডা অবশ্যম্ভাবী।
قُلْ إِنَّمَآ أَنَا۠ مُنذِرٌۭ ۖ وَمَا مِنْ إِلَٰهٍ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ ٱلْوَٰحِدُ ٱلْقَهَّارُ 65
Saheeh International
SAY [O Muhammad]: “I am only a warner; and there is no deity whatever save God, the One, who holds absolute sway over all that exists,
বলুন, আমি তো একজন সতর্ককারী মাত্র এবং এক পরাক্রমশালী আল্লাহ ব্যতীত কোন উপাস্য নেই।
رَبُّ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْغَفَّٰرُ 66
Saheeh International
the Sustainer of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, the Almighty, the All-Forgiving!”
তিনি আসমান-যমীন ও এতদুভয়ের মধ্যবর্তী সব কিছুর পালনকর্তা, পরাক্রমশালী, মার্জনাকারী।
قُلْ هُوَ نَبَؤٌا۟ عَظِيمٌ 67
Saheeh International
Say: “This is a message tremendous:
বলুন, এটি এক মহাসংবাদ,
أَنتُمْ عَنْهُ مُعْرِضُونَ 68
Saheeh International
[how can] you turn away from it?”
যা থেকে তোমরা মুখ ফিরিয়ে নিয়েছ।
مَا كَانَ لِىَ مِنْ عِلْمٍۭ بِٱلْمَلَإِ ٱلْأَعْلَىٰٓ إِذْ يَخْتَصِمُونَ 69
Saheeh International
[Say, O Muhammad:] “No knowledge would I have had of [what passed among] the host on high when they argued [against the creation of man],
ঊর্ধ্ব জগৎ সম্পর্কে আমার কোন জ্ঞান ছিল না যখন ফেরেশতারা কথাবার্তা বলছিল।
إِن يُوحَىٰٓ إِلَىَّ إِلَّآ أَنَّمَآ أَنَا۠ نَذِيرٌۭ مُّبِينٌ 70
Saheeh International
had it not been revealed unto me [by God] - to no other end than that I might convey [unto you] a plain warning.
আমার কাছে এ ওহীই আসে যে, আমি একজন স্পষ্ট সতর্ককারী।
إِذْ قَالَ رَبُّكَ لِلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ إِنِّى خَٰلِقٌۢ بَشَرًۭا مِّن طِينٍۢ 71
Saheeh International
[For,] lo, thy Sustainer said unto the angels: “Behold, I am about to create a human being out of clay;
যখন আপনার পালনকর্তা ফেরেশতাগণকে বললেন, আমি মাটির মানুষ সৃষ্টি করব।
فَإِذَا سَوَّيْتُهُۥ وَنَفَخْتُ فِيهِ مِن رُّوحِى فَقَعُوا۟ لَهُۥ سَٰجِدِينَ 72
Saheeh International
and when I have formed him fully and breathed into him of My spirit, fall you down before him in prostration!”
যখন আমি তাকে সুষম করব এবং তাতে আমার রূহ ফুঁকে দেব, তখন তোমরা তার সম্মুখে সেজদায় নত হয়ে যেয়ো।
فَسَجَدَ ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ كُلُّهُمْ أَجْمَعُونَ 73
Saheeh International
Thereupon the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together,
অতঃপর সমস্ত ফেরেশতাই একযোগে সেজদায় নত হল,
إِلَّآ إِبْلِيسَ ٱسْتَكْبَرَ وَكَانَ مِنَ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ 74
Saheeh International
save Iblis: he gloried in his arrogance, and [thus] became one of those who deny the truth.
কিন্তু ইবলীস; সে অহংকার করল এবং অস্বীকারকারীদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হয়ে গেল।
قَالَ يَٰٓإِبْلِيسُ مَا مَنَعَكَ أَن تَسْجُدَ لِمَا خَلَقْتُ بِيَدَىَّ ۖ أَسْتَكْبَرْتَ أَمْ كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلْعَالِينَ 75
Saheeh International
Said He: “O Iblis! What has kept thee from prostrating thyself before that [being] which I have created with My hands? Art thou too proud [to bow down before another created being], or art thou of those who think [only] of themselves as high?”
আল্লাহ বললেন, হে ইবলীস, আমি স্বহস্তে যাকে সৃষ্টি করেছি, তার সম্মুখে সেজদা করতে তোমাকে কিসে বাধা দিল? তুমি অহংকার করলে, না তুমি তার চেয়ে উচ্চ মর্যাদা সম্পন্ন?
قَالَ أَنَا۠ خَيْرٌۭ مِّنْهُ ۖ خَلَقْتَنِى مِن نَّارٍۢ وَخَلَقْتَهُۥ مِن طِينٍۢ 76
Saheeh International
Answered [Iblis]: “I am better than he: Thou hast created me out of fire, whereas him Thou hast created out of clay.”
সে বললঃ আমি তার চেয়ে উত্তম আপনি আমাকে আগুনের দ্বারা সৃষ্টি করেছেন, আর তাকে সৃষ্টি করেছেন মাটির দ্বারা।
قَالَ فَٱخْرُجْ مِنْهَا فَإِنَّكَ رَجِيمٌۭ 77
Saheeh International
Said He: “Go forth, then, from this [angelic state] - for, behold, thou art henceforth accursed,
আল্লাহ বললেনঃ বের হয়ে যা, এখান থেকে। কারণ, তুই অভিশপ্ত।
وَإِنَّ عَلَيْكَ لَعْنَتِىٓ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ ٱلدِّينِ 78
Saheeh International
and My rejection shall be thy due until the Day of Judgment!”
তোর প্রতি আমার এ অভিশাপ বিচার দিবস পর্যন্ত স্থায়ী হবে।
قَالَ رَبِّ فَأَنظِرْنِىٓ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ يُبْعَثُونَ 79
Saheeh International
Said [Iblis]: “Then, O my Sustainer, grant me a respite till the Day when all shall be raised from the dead!”
সে বললঃ হে আমার পালনকর্তা, আপনি আমাকে পুনরুত্থান দিবস পর্যন্ত অবকাশ দিন।
قَالَ فَإِنَّكَ مِنَ ٱلْمُنظَرِينَ 80
Saheeh International
Answered He: “Verily, so [be it:] thou shalt be among those who are granted respite
আল্লঅহ বললেনঃ তোকে অবকাশ দেয়া হল।
إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ ٱلْوَقْتِ ٱلْمَعْلُومِ 81
Saheeh International
till the Day the time whereof is known [only to Me].”
সে সময়ের দিন পর্যন্ত যা জানা।
قَالَ فَبِعِزَّتِكَ لَأُغْوِيَنَّهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ 82
Saheeh International
[Whereupon Iblis] said: “Then [I swear] by Thy very might: I shall most certainly beguile them all into grievous error –
সে বলল, আপনার ইযযতের কসম, আমি অবশ্যই তাদের সবাইকে বিপথগামী করে দেব।
إِلَّا عِبَادَكَ مِنْهُمُ ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ 83
Saheeh International
[all] save such of them as are truly Thy servants!”
তবে তাদের মধ্যে যারা আপনার খাঁটি বান্দা, তাদেরকে ছাড়া।
قَالَ فَٱلْحَقُّ وَٱلْحَقَّ أَقُولُ 84
Saheeh International
[And God] said: “This, then, is the truth! And this truth do I state:
আল্লাহ বললেনঃ তাই ঠিক, আর আমি সত্য বলছি-
لَأَمْلَأَنَّ جَهَنَّمَ مِنكَ وَمِمَّن تَبِعَكَ مِنْهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ 85
Saheeh International
Most certainly will I fill hell with thee and such of them as shall follow thee, all together!”
তোর দ্বারা আর তাদের মধ্যে যারা তোর অনুসরণ করবে তাদের দ্বারা আমি জাহান্নাম পূর্ণ করব।
قُلْ مَآ أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍۢ وَمَآ أَنَا۠ مِنَ ٱلْمُتَكَلِّفِينَ 86
Saheeh International
SAY [O Prophet]: “No reward whatever do I ask of you for this [message]; and I am not one of those who claim to be what they are not.
বলুন, আমি তোমাদের কাছে কোন প্রতিদান চাই না আর আমি লৌকিকতাকারীও নই।
إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا ذِكْرٌۭ لِّلْعَٰلَمِينَ 87
Saheeh International
This [divine writ], behold, is no less than a reminder to all the worlds —
এটা তো বিশ্ববাসীর জন্যে এক উপদেশ মাত্র।
وَلَتَعْلَمُنَّ نَبَأَهُۥ بَعْدَ حِينٍۭ 88
Saheeh International
and you will most certainly grasp its purport after a lapse of time!”
তোমরা কিছু কাল পরে এর সংবাদ অবশ্যই জানতে পারবে।
