Al-Kahf
Ayah - 110, Meccan
ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَنزَلَ عَلَىٰ عَبْدِهِ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ وَلَمْ يَجْعَل لَّهُۥ عِوَجَا ۜ 1
Saheeh International
ALL PRAISE is due to God, who has bestowed. this divine writ from on high upon His servant, and has not allowed any deviousness to obscure its meaning:
সব প্রশংসা আল্লাহর যিনি নিজের বান্দার প্রতি এ গ্রন্থ নাযিল করেছেন এবং তাতে কোন বক্রতা রাখেননি।
قَيِّمًۭا لِّيُنذِرَ بَأْسًۭا شَدِيدًۭا مِّن لَّدُنْهُ وَيُبَشِّرَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ ٱلَّذِينَ يَعْمَلُونَ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ أَنَّ لَهُمْ أَجْرًا حَسَنًۭا 2
Saheeh International
[a divine writ] unerringly straight, meant to warn [the godless] of a severe punishment from Him, and to give unto the believers who do good works the glad tiding that theirs shall be a goodly reward-
একে সুপ্রতিষ্ঠিত করেছেন যা আল্লাহর পক্ষ থেকে একটি ভীষণ বিপদের ভয় প্রদর্শন করে এবং মুমিনদেরকে যারা সৎকর্ম সম্পাদন করে-তাদেরকে সুসংবাদ দান করে যে, তাদের জন্যে উত্তম প্রতিদান রয়েছে।
مَّٰكِثِينَ فِيهِ أَبَدًۭا 3
Saheeh International
[a state of bliss] in which they. shall dwell beyond the count of time.
তারা তাতে চিরকাল অবস্থান করবে।
وَيُنذِرَ ٱلَّذِينَ قَالُوا۟ ٱتَّخَذَ ٱللَّهُ وَلَدًۭا 4
Saheeh International
Furthermore, [this divine writ is meant] to warn all those who assert, "God has taken unto Himself a son."
এবং তাদেরকে ভয় প্রদর্শন করার জন্যে যারা বলে যে, আল্লাহর সন্তান রয়েছে।
مَّا لَهُم بِهِۦ مِنْ عِلْمٍۢ وَلَا لِءَابَآئِهِمْ ۚ كَبُرَتْ كَلِمَةًۭ تَخْرُجُ مِنْ أَفْوَٰهِهِمْ ۚ إِن يَقُولُونَ إِلَّا كَذِبًۭا 5
Saheeh International
No knowledge whatever have they of Him, and neither had their forefathers: dreadful -is this saying that comes out of their mouths, [and] nothing but falsehood do they utter!
এ সম্পর্কে তাদের কোন জ্ঞান নেই এবং তাদের পিতৃপুরুষদেরও নেই। কত কঠিন তাদের মুখের কথা। তারা যা বলে তা তো সবই মিথ্যা।
فَلَعَلَّكَ بَٰخِعٌۭ نَّفْسَكَ عَلَىٰٓ ءَاثَٰرِهِمْ إِن لَّمْ يُؤْمِنُوا۟ بِهَٰذَا ٱلْحَدِيثِ أَسَفًا 6
Saheeh International
But wouldst thou, perhaps, torment thyself to death with grief over them if they are not willing to believe in this message?
যদি তারা এই বিষয়বস্তুর প্রতি বিশ্বাস স্থাপন না করে, তবে তাদের পশ্চাতে সম্ভবতঃ আপনি পরিতাপ করতে করতে নিজের প্রাণ নিপাত করবেন।
إِنَّا جَعَلْنَا مَا عَلَى ٱلْأَرْضِ زِينَةًۭ لَّهَا لِنَبْلُوَهُمْ أَيُّهُمْ أَحْسَنُ عَمَلًۭا 7
Saheeh International
Behold, We have willed that all beauty on earth be a means by which We put men to a test, [showing] which of them are best in conduct;
আমি পৃথিবীস্থ সব কিছুকে পৃথিবীর জন্যে শোভা করেছি, যাতে লোকদের পরীক্ষা করি যে, তাদের মধ্যে কে ভাল কাজ করে।
وَإِنَّا لَجَٰعِلُونَ مَا عَلَيْهَا صَعِيدًۭا جُرُزًا 8
Saheeh International
and, verily, [in time] We shall reduce all that is on it to barren dust!
এবং তার উপর যাকিছু রয়েছে, অবশ্যই তা আমি উদ্ভিদশূন্য মাটিতে পরিণত করে দেব।
أَمْ حَسِبْتَ أَنَّ أَصْحَٰبَ ٱلْكَهْفِ وَٱلرَّقِيمِ كَانُوا۟ مِنْ ءَايَٰتِنَا عَجَبًا 9
Saheeh International
[AND SINCE the life of this world is but a test, dost thou [really] think that [the parable of] the Men of the Cave and of [their devotion to] the scriptures could be deemed more wondrous than any [other] of Our messages?
আপনি কি ধারণা করেন যে, গুহা ও গর্তের অধিবাসীরা আমার নিদর্শনাবলীর মধ্যে বিস্ময়কর ছিল ?
إِذْ أَوَى ٱلْفِتْيَةُ إِلَى ٱلْكَهْفِ فَقَالُوا۟ رَبَّنَآ ءَاتِنَا مِن لَّدُنكَ رَحْمَةًۭ وَهَيِّئْ لَنَا مِنْ أَمْرِنَا رَشَدًۭا 10
Saheeh International
When those youths took refuge in the cave, they prayed: "O our Sustainer! Bestow on us grace from Thyself, and endow us, whatever our [outward] condition, with consciousness of what is right!"
যখন যুবকরা পাহাড়ের গুহায় আশ্রয়গ্রহণ করে তখন দোআ করেঃ হে আমাদের পালনকর্তা, আমাদেরকে নিজের কাছ থেকে রহমত দান করুন এবং আমাদের জন্যে আমাদের কাজ সঠিকভাবে পূর্ণ করুন।
فَضَرَبْنَا عَلَىٰٓ ءَاذَانِهِمْ فِى ٱلْكَهْفِ سِنِينَ عَدَدًۭا 11
Saheeh International
And thereupon We veiled their ears in the cave for many a year,
তখন আমি কয়েক বছরের জন্যে গুহায় তাদের কানের উপর নিদ্রার পর্দা ফেলে দেই।
ثُمَّ بَعَثْنَٰهُمْ لِنَعْلَمَ أَىُّ ٱلْحِزْبَيْنِ أَحْصَىٰ لِمَا لَبِثُوٓا۟ أَمَدًۭا 12
Saheeh International
and then We awakened Christianity was no longer persecuted and had even become the official religion of the Roman Empire. The ancient coin (dating from the reign of Decius) with which the young man wanted to pay for his purchases immediately aroused curiosity; people began to question the stranger, and the story of the Men of the Cave and their miraculous sleep came to light. them: [and We did all this] so that We might mark out [to the world] which of the two points of view showed a better comprehension of the time-span during which they had remained in this state.
অতঃপর আমি তাদেরকে পুনরত্থিত করি, একথা জানার জন্যে যে, দুই দলের মধ্যে কোন দল তাদের অবস্থানকাল সম্পর্কে অধিক নির্ণয় করতে পারে।
نَّحْنُ نَقُصُّ عَلَيْكَ نَبَأَهُم بِٱلْحَقِّ ۚ إِنَّهُمْ فِتْيَةٌ ءَامَنُوا۟ بِرَبِّهِمْ وَزِدْنَٰهُمْ هُدًۭى 13
Saheeh International
[And now] We shall truly relate to thee their story: Behold, they were young men who had attained to faith in their Sustainer: and [so] We deepened their consciousness of the right way
আপনার কাছে তাদের ইতিবৃত্তান্ত সঠিকভাবে বর্ণনা করছি। তারা ছিল কয়েকজন যুবক। তারা তাদের পালনকর্তার প্রতি বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করেছিল এবং আমি তাদের সৎপথে চলার শক্তি বাড়িয়ে দিয়েছিলাম।
وَرَبَطْنَا عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمْ إِذْ قَامُوا۟ فَقَالُوا۟ رَبُّنَا رَبُّ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ لَن نَّدْعُوَا۟ مِن دُونِهِۦٓ إِلَٰهًۭا ۖ لَّقَدْ قُلْنَآ إِذًۭا شَطَطًا 14
Saheeh International
and endowed their hearts with strength, so that they stood up and said [to one another]: "Our Sustainer is the Sustainer of the heavens and the earth. Never shall we invoke any deity other than Him: [if we did,] we should indeed have uttered an enormity!
আমি তাদের মন দৃঢ় করেছিলাম, যখন তারা উঠে দাঁড়িয়েছিল। অতঃপর তারা বললঃ আমাদের পালনকর্তা আসমান ও যমীনের পালনকর্তা আমরা কখনও তার পরিবর্তে অন্য কোন উপাস্যকে আহবান করব না। যদি করি, তবে তা অত্যন্ত গর্হিত কাজ হবে।
هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ قَوْمُنَا ٱتَّخَذُوا۟ مِن دُونِهِۦٓ ءَالِهَةًۭ ۖ لَّوْلَا يَأْتُونَ عَلَيْهِم بِسُلْطَٰنٍۭ بَيِّنٍۢ ۖ فَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّنِ ٱفْتَرَىٰ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ كَذِبًۭا 15
Saheeh International
These people of ours have taken to worshipping [other] deities instead of Him, without being able to adduce any reasonable evidence in support of their beliefs; and who could be more wicked than he who invents a lie about God?
এরা আমাদেরই স্ব-জাতি, এরা তাঁর পরিবর্তে অনেক উপাস্য গ্রহণ করেছে। তারা এদের সম্পর্কে প্রকাশ্য প্রমাণ উপস্থিত করে না কেন? যে আল্লাহ সম্পর্কে মিথ্যা উদ্ভাবন করে, তার চাইতে অধিক গোনাহগার আর কে?
وَإِذِ ٱعْتَزَلْتُمُوهُمْ وَمَا يَعْبُدُونَ إِلَّا ٱللَّهَ فَأْوُۥٓا۟ إِلَى ٱلْكَهْفِ يَنشُرْ لَكُمْ رَبُّكُم مِّن رَّحْمَتِهِۦ وَيُهَيِّئْ لَكُم مِّنْ أَمْرِكُم مِّرْفَقًۭا 16
Saheeh International
Hence, now that you have withdrawn from them and from all that they worship instead of God, take refuge in that cave: God will spread His grace over you, and will endow you - whatever your [outward] condition - with all that your souls may need!
তোমরা যখন তাদের থেকে পৃথক হলে এবং তারা আল্লাহর পরিবর্তে যাদের এবাদত করে তাদের থেকে, তখন তোমরা গুহায় আশ্রয়গ্রহণ কর। তোমাদের পালনকর্তা তোমাদের জন্যে দয়া বিস্তার করবেন এবং তিনি তোমাদের জন্য তোমাদের কাজ কর্মকে ফলপ্রসু করার ব্যবস্থা করবেন।
۞ وَتَرَى ٱلشَّمْسَ إِذَا طَلَعَت تَّزَٰوَرُ عَن كَهْفِهِمْ ذَاتَ ٱلْيَمِينِ وَإِذَا غَرَبَت تَّقْرِضُهُمْ ذَاتَ ٱلشِّمَالِ وَهُمْ فِى فَجْوَةٍۢ مِّنْهُ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ مِنْ ءَايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ ۗ مَن يَهْدِ ٱللَّهُ فَهُوَ ٱلْمُهْتَدِ ۖ وَمَن يُضْلِلْ فَلَن تَجِدَ لَهُۥ وَلِيًّۭا مُّرْشِدًۭا 17
Saheeh International
And [for many a year] thou might have seen the sun, on its rising, incline away from their cave on the right, and, on its setting, turn aside from them on the left, while they lived on in that spacious chamber, [bearing witness to] this of God's messages: He whom God guides, he alone has found the right way; whereas for him whom He lets go astray thou canst never find any protector who would point out the right way.
তুমি সূর্যকে দেখবে, যখন উদিত হয়, তাদের গুহা থেকে পাশ কেটে ডান দিকে চলে যায় এবং যখন অস্ত যায়, তাদের থেকে পাশ কেটে বামদিকে চলে যায়, অথচ তারা গুহার প্রশস্ত চত্বরে অবস্থিত। এটা আল্লাহর নিদর্শনাবলীর অন্যতম। আল্লাহ যাকে সৎপথে চালান, সেই সৎপথ প্রাপ্ত এবং তিনি যাকে পথভ্রষ্ট করেন, আপনি কখনও তার জন্যে পথপ্রদর্শনকারী ও সাহায্যকারী পাবেন না।
وَتَحْسَبُهُمْ أَيْقَاظًۭا وَهُمْ رُقُودٌۭ ۚ وَنُقَلِّبُهُمْ ذَاتَ ٱلْيَمِينِ وَذَاتَ ٱلشِّمَالِ ۖ وَكَلْبُهُم بَٰسِطٌۭ ذِرَاعَيْهِ بِٱلْوَصِيدِ ۚ لَوِ ٱطَّلَعْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ لَوَلَّيْتَ مِنْهُمْ فِرَارًۭا وَلَمُلِئْتَ مِنْهُمْ رُعْبًۭا 18
Saheeh International
And thou wouldst have thought that they were awake, whereas they lay asleep. And We caused them to turn over repeatedly, now to the right, now to the left; and their dog [lay] on the threshold, its forepaws outstretched. Hadst thou come upon them [unprepared], thou wouldst surely have turned away from them in flight, and wouldst surely have been filled with awe of them.
তুমি মনে করবে তারা জাগ্রত, অথচ তারা নিদ্রিত। আমি তাদেরকে পার্শ্ব পরিবর্তন করাই ডান দিকে ও বাম দিকে। তাদের কুকুর ছিল সামনের পা দুটি গুহাদ্বারে প্রসারিত করে। যদি তুমি উঁকি দিয়ে তাদেরকে দেখতে, তবে পেছন ফিরে পলায়ন করতে এবং তাদের ভয়ে আতংক গ্রস্ত হয়ে পড়তে।
وَكَذَٰلِكَ بَعَثْنَٰهُمْ لِيَتَسَآءَلُوا۟ بَيْنَهُمْ ۚ قَالَ قَآئِلٌۭ مِّنْهُمْ كَمْ لَبِثْتُمْ ۖ قَالُوا۟ لَبِثْنَا يَوْمًا أَوْ بَعْضَ يَوْمٍۢ ۚ قَالُوا۟ رَبُّكُمْ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا لَبِثْتُمْ فَٱبْعَثُوٓا۟ أَحَدَكُم بِوَرِقِكُمْ هَٰذِهِۦٓ إِلَى ٱلْمَدِينَةِ فَلْيَنظُرْ أَيُّهَآ أَزْكَىٰ طَعَامًۭا فَلْيَأْتِكُم بِرِزْقٍۢ مِّنْهُ وَلْيَتَلَطَّفْ وَلَا يُشْعِرَنَّ بِكُمْ أَحَدًا 19
Saheeh International
And so, [in the course of time,] We awakened them; and they began to ask one another [as to what had happened to them]. One of them asked: "How long have you remained thus?" [The others] answered: "We have remained thus a day, or part of a day." Said they [who were endowed with deeper insight]: "Your Sustainer knows best how long you have thus remained. Let, then, one of you go with these silver coins to the town, and let him find out what food is purest there, and bring you thereof [some] provisions. But let him behave with great care and by no means make anyone aware of you:
আমি এমনি ভাবে তাদেরকে জাগ্রত করলাম, যাতে তারা পরস্পর জিজ্ঞাসাবাদ করে। তাদের একজন বললঃ তোমরা কতকাল অবস্থান করেছ? তাদের কেউ বললঃ একদিন অথবা একদিনের কিছু অংশ অবস্থান করছি। কেউ কেউ বললঃ তোমাদের পালনকর্তাই ভাল জানেন তোমরা কতকাল অবস্থান করেছ। এখন তোমাদের একজনকে তোমাদের এই মুদ্রাসহ শহরে প্রেরণ কর; সে যেন দেখে কোন খাদ্য পবিত্র। অতঃপর তা থেকে যেন কিছু খাদ্য নিয়ে আসে তোমাদের জন্য; সে যেন নম্রতা সহকারে যায় ও কিছুতেই যেন তোমাদের খবর কাউকে না জানায়।
إِنَّهُمْ إِن يَظْهَرُوا۟ عَلَيْكُمْ يَرْجُمُوكُمْ أَوْ يُعِيدُوكُمْ فِى مِلَّتِهِمْ وَلَن تُفْلِحُوٓا۟ إِذًا أَبَدًۭا 20
Saheeh International
for, behold, if they should come to know of you, they might stone you to death or force you back to their faith-in which case you would never attain to any good!"
তারা যদি তোমাদের খবর জানতে পারে, তবে পাথর মেরে তোমাদেরকে হত্যা করবে, অথবা তোমাদেরকে তাদের ধর্মে ফিরিয়ে নেবে। তাহলে তোমরা কখনই সাফল্য লাভ করবে না।
وَكَذَٰلِكَ أَعْثَرْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ لِيَعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنَّ وَعْدَ ٱللَّهِ حَقٌّۭ وَأَنَّ ٱلسَّاعَةَ لَا رَيْبَ فِيهَآ إِذْ يَتَنَٰزَعُونَ بَيْنَهُمْ أَمْرَهُمْ ۖ فَقَالُوا۟ ٱبْنُوا۟ عَلَيْهِم بُنْيَٰنًۭا ۖ رَّبُّهُمْ أَعْلَمُ بِهِمْ ۚ قَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ غَلَبُوا۟ عَلَىٰٓ أَمْرِهِمْ لَنَتَّخِذَنَّ عَلَيْهِم مَّسْجِدًۭا 21
Saheeh International
AND IN THIS way have We drawn [people's] attention to their story, so that they might know - whenever they debate among themselves as to what happened to those [Men of the Cave] that God's promise [of resurrection] is true, and that there can be no doubt as to [the coming of] the Last Hour. And so, some [people] said: "Erect a building in their memory; God knows best what happened to them." Said they whose opinion prevailed in the end: "Indeed, we must surely raise a house of worship in their memory!"
এমনিভাবে আমি তাদের খবর প্রকাশ করে দিলাম, যাতে তারা জ্ঞাত হয় যে, আল্লাহর ওয়াদা সত্য এবং কেয়ামতে কোন সন্দেহ নেই। যখন তারা নিজেদের কর্তব্য বিষয়ে পরস্পর বিতর্ক করছিল, তখন তারা বললঃ তাদের উপর সৌধ নির্মাণ কর। তাদের পালনকর্তা তাদের বিষয়ে ভাল জানেন। তাদের কর্তব্য বিষয়ে যাদের মত প্রবল হল, তারা বললঃ আমরা অবশ্যই তাদের স্থানে মসজিদ নির্মান করব।
سَيَقُولُونَ ثَلَٰثَةٌۭ رَّابِعُهُمْ كَلْبُهُمْ وَيَقُولُونَ خَمْسَةٌۭ سَادِسُهُمْ كَلْبُهُمْ رَجْمًۢا بِٱلْغَيْبِ ۖ وَيَقُولُونَ سَبْعَةٌۭ وَثَامِنُهُمْ كَلْبُهُمْ ۚ قُل رَّبِّىٓ أَعْلَمُ بِعِدَّتِهِم مَّا يَعْلَمُهُمْ إِلَّا قَلِيلٌۭ ۗ فَلَا تُمَارِ فِيهِمْ إِلَّا مِرَآءًۭ ظَٰهِرًۭا وَلَا تَسْتَفْتِ فِيهِم مِّنْهُمْ أَحَدًۭا 22
Saheeh International
[And in times to come] some will say, "[They were] three, the fourth of them being their dog," while others will say, "Five, with their dog as the sixth of them" -idly guessing at something of which they can have no knowledge -and [so on, until] some will say, "[They were] seven, the eighth of them being their dog." Say: "My Sustainer knows best how many they were. None but a few have any [real] knowledge of them. Hence, do not argue about them otherwise than by way of an obvious argument, and do not ask any of those [story-tellers] to enlighten thee about them."
অজ্ঞাত বিষয়ে অনুমানের উপর ভিত্তি করে এখন তারা বলবেঃ তারা ছিল তিন জন; তাদের চতুর্থটি তাদের কুকুর। একথাও বলবে; তারা পাঁচ জন। তাদের ছষ্ঠটি ছিল তাদের কুকুর। আরও বলবেঃ তারা ছিল সাত জন। তাদের অষ্টমটি ছিল তাদের কুকুর। বলুনঃ আমার পালনকর্তা তাদের সংখ্যা ভাল জানেন। তাদের খবর অল্প লোকই জানে। সাধারণ আলোচনা ছাড়া আপনি তাদের সম্পর্কে বিতর্ক করবেন না এবং তাদের অবস্থা সম্পর্কে তাদের কাউকে জিজ্ঞাসাবাদ ও করবেন না।
وَلَا تَقُولَنَّ لِشَا۟ىْءٍ إِنِّى فَاعِلٌۭ ذَٰلِكَ غَدًا 23
Saheeh International
AND NEVER say about anything, "Behold, I shall do this tomorrow,"
আপনি কোন কাজের বিষয়ে বলবেন না যে, সেটি আমি আগামী কাল করব।
إِلَّآ أَن يَشَآءَ ٱللَّهُ ۚ وَٱذْكُر رَّبَّكَ إِذَا نَسِيتَ وَقُلْ عَسَىٰٓ أَن يَهْدِيَنِ رَبِّى لِأَقْرَبَ مِنْ هَٰذَا رَشَدًۭا 24
Saheeh International
without (adding], "if God so wills." And if thou shouldst forget [thyself at the time, and become aware of it later], call thy Sustainer to mind and say: "I pray that my Sustainer guide me, even closer than this, to a consciousness of what is right!"
‘আল্লাহ ইচ্ছা করলে’ বলা ব্যতিরেকে। যখন ভুলে যান, তখন আপনার পালনকর্তাকে স্মরণ করুন এবং বলুনঃ আশা করি আমার পালনকর্তা আমাকে এর চাইতেও নিকটতম সত্যের পথ নির্দেশ করবেন।
وَلَبِثُوا۟ فِى كَهْفِهِمْ ثَلَٰثَ مِا۟ئَةٍۢ سِنِينَ وَٱزْدَادُوا۟ تِسْعًۭا 25
Saheeh International
AND [some people assert], "They remained in their cave three hundred years"; and some have added nine [to that number].
তাদের উপর তাদের গুহায় তিনশ বছর, অতিরিক্ত আরও নয় বছর অতিবাহিত হয়েছে।
قُلِ ٱللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا لَبِثُوا۟ ۖ لَهُۥ غَيْبُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۖ أَبْصِرْ بِهِۦ وَأَسْمِعْ ۚ مَا لَهُم مِّن دُونِهِۦ مِن وَلِىٍّۢ وَلَا يُشْرِكُ فِى حُكْمِهِۦٓ أَحَدًۭا 26
Saheeh International
Say: "God knows best how long they remained [there]. His [alone] is the knowledge of the hidden reality of the heavens and the earth: how well does He see and hear! No guardian have they apart from Him, since He allots to no one a share in His rule!"
বলুনঃ তারা কতকাল অবস্থান করেছে, তা আল্লাহই ভাল জানেন। নভোমন্ডল ও ভুমন্ডলের অদৃশ্য বিষয়ের জ্ঞান তাঁরই কাছে রয়েছে। তিনি কত চমৎকার দেখেন ও শোনেন। তিনি ব্যতীত তাদের জন্য কোন সাহায্যকারী নেই। তিনি কাউকে নিজ কর্তৃত্বে শরীক করেন না।
وَٱتْلُ مَآ أُوحِىَ إِلَيْكَ مِن كِتَابِ رَبِّكَ ۖ لَا مُبَدِّلَ لِكَلِمَٰتِهِۦ وَلَن تَجِدَ مِن دُونِهِۦ مُلْتَحَدًۭا 27
Saheeh International
AND CONVEY [to the world] whatever has been revealed to thee of thy Sustainer's writ. There is nothing that could alter His words; and thou canst find no refuge other than with Him.
আপনার প্রতি আপনার পালনকর্তার যে, কিতাব প্রত্যাদিষ্ট করা হয়েছে, তা পাঠ করুন। তাঁর বাক্য পরিবর্তন করার কেউ নাই। তাঁকে ব্যতীত আপনি কখনই কোন আশ্রয় স্থল পাবেন না।
وَٱصْبِرْ نَفْسَكَ مَعَ ٱلَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ رَبَّهُم بِٱلْغَدَوٰةِ وَٱلْعَشِىِّ يُرِيدُونَ وَجْهَهُۥ ۖ وَلَا تَعْدُ عَيْنَاكَ عَنْهُمْ تُرِيدُ زِينَةَ ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا ۖ وَلَا تُطِعْ مَنْ أَغْفَلْنَا قَلْبَهُۥ عَن ذِكْرِنَا وَٱتَّبَعَ هَوَىٰهُ وَكَانَ أَمْرُهُۥ فُرُطًۭا 28
Saheeh International
And contain thyself in patience by the side of all who at morn and at evening invoke their Sustainer, seeking His countenance, and let not thine eyes pass beyond them in quest of the beauties of this world's life; and pay no heed to any whose heart We have rendered heedless of all remembrance of Us because he had always followed [only] his own desires, abandoning all that is good and true.
আপনি নিজেকে তাদের সংসর্গে আবদ্ধ রাখুন যারা সকাল ও সন্ধ্যায় তাদের পালনকর্তাকে তাঁর সন্তুষ্টি অর্জনের উদ্দেশ্যে আহবান করে এবং আপনি পার্থিব জীবনের সৌন্দর্য কামনা করে তাদের থেকে নিজের দৃষ্টি ফিরিয়ে নেবেন না। যার মনকে আমার স্মরণ থেকে গাফেল করে দিয়েছি, যে, নিজের প্রবৃত্তির অনুসরণ করে এবং যার কার্য কলাপ হচ্ছে সীমা অতিক্রম করা, আপনি তার অনুগত্য করবেন না।
وَقُلِ ٱلْحَقُّ مِن رَّبِّكُمْ ۖ فَمَن شَآءَ فَلْيُؤْمِن وَمَن شَآءَ فَلْيَكْفُرْ ۚ إِنَّآ أَعْتَدْنَا لِلظَّٰلِمِينَ نَارًا أَحَاطَ بِهِمْ سُرَادِقُهَا ۚ وَإِن يَسْتَغِيثُوا۟ يُغَاثُوا۟ بِمَآءٍۢ كَٱلْمُهْلِ يَشْوِى ٱلْوُجُوهَ ۚ بِئْسَ ٱلشَّرَابُ وَسَآءَتْ مُرْتَفَقًا 29
Saheeh International
And say: "The truth [has now come] from your Sustainer: let, then, him who wills, believe in it, and let him who wills, reject it." Verily, for all who sin against themselves [by rejecting Our truth] We have readied a fire whose billowing folds will encompass them from all sides; and if they beg for water, they will be given water [hot] like molten lead, which will scald their faces: how dreadful a drink, and how evil a place to rest!
বলুনঃ সত্য তোমাদের পালনকর্তার পক্ষ থেকে আগত। অতএব, যার ইচ্ছা, বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করুক এবং যার ইচ্ছা অমান্য করুক। আমি জালেমদের জন্যে অগ্নি প্রস্তুত করে রেখেছি, যার বেষ্টনী তাদের কে পরিবেষ্টন করে থাকবে। যদি তারা পানীয় প্রার্থনা করে, তবে পুঁজের ন্যায় পানীয় দেয়া হবে যা তাদের মুখমন্ডল দগ্ধ করবে। কত নিকৃষ্ট পানীয় এবং খুবই মন্দ আশ্রয়।
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ إِنَّا لَا نُضِيعُ أَجْرَ مَنْ أَحْسَنَ عَمَلًا 30
Saheeh International
[But,] behold, as for those who attain to faith and do righteous deeds-verily, We do not fail to requite any who persevere in doing good:
যারা বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করে এবং সৎকর্ম সম্পাদন করে আমি সৎকর্মশীলদের পুরস্কার নষ্ট করি না।
أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ لَهُمْ جَنَّٰتُ عَدْنٍۢ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهِمُ ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ يُحَلَّوْنَ فِيهَا مِنْ أَسَاوِرَ مِن ذَهَبٍۢ وَيَلْبَسُونَ ثِيَابًا خُضْرًۭا مِّن سُندُسٍۢ وَإِسْتَبْرَقٍۢ مُّتَّكِـِٔينَ فِيهَا عَلَى ٱلْأَرَآئِكِ ۚ نِعْمَ ٱلثَّوَابُ وَحَسُنَتْ مُرْتَفَقًۭا 31
Saheeh International
theirs shall be gardens of perpetual bliss - [gardens] through which running waters flow - wherein they will be adorned with bracelets of gold and will wear green garments of silk and brocade, [and] wherein upon couches they will recline:" how excellent a recompense, and how goodly a place to rest!
তাদেরই জন্যে আছে বসবাসের জান্নাত। তাদের পাদদেশে প্রবাহিত হয় নহরসমূহ। তাদের তথায় স্বর্ণ-কংকনে অলংকৃত করা হবে এবং তারা পাতলা ও মোটা রেশমের সবুজ কাপর পরিধান করবে এমতাবস্থায় যে, তারা সিংহাসনে সমাসীন হবে। চমৎকার প্রতিদান এবং কত উত্তম আশ্রয়।
۞ وَٱضْرِبْ لَهُم مَّثَلًۭا رَّجُلَيْنِ جَعَلْنَا لِأَحَدِهِمَا جَنَّتَيْنِ مِنْ أَعْنَٰبٍۢ وَحَفَفْنَٰهُمَا بِنَخْلٍۢ وَجَعَلْنَا بَيْنَهُمَا زَرْعًۭا 32
Saheeh International
AND PROPOUND unto them the parable of two men, upon one of whom We had bestowed two vinyards, and surrounded them with date-palms, and placed a field of grain in-between.
আপনি তাদের কাছে দু ব্যক্তির উদাহরণ বর্ণনা করুন। আমি তাদের একজনকে দুটি আঙ্গুরের বাগান দিয়েছি এবং এ দু’টিকে খর্জুর বৃক্ষ দ্বারা পরিবেষ্টিত করেছি এবং দু এর মাঝখানে করেছি শস্যক্ষেত্র।
كِلْتَا ٱلْجَنَّتَيْنِ ءَاتَتْ أُكُلَهَا وَلَمْ تَظْلِم مِّنْهُ شَيْـًۭٔا ۚ وَفَجَّرْنَا خِلَٰلَهُمَا نَهَرًۭا 33
Saheeh International
Each of the two gardens yielded its produce and never failed therein in any way, for We had caused a stream to gush forth in the midst of each of them.
উভয় বাগানই ফলদান করে এবং তা থেকে কিছুই হ্রাস করত না এবং উভয়ের ফাঁকে ফাঁকে আমি নহর প্রবাহিত করেছি।
وَكَانَ لَهُۥ ثَمَرٌۭ فَقَالَ لِصَٰحِبِهِۦ وَهُوَ يُحَاوِرُهُۥٓ أَنَا۠ أَكْثَرُ مِنكَ مَالًۭا وَأَعَزُّ نَفَرًۭا 34
Saheeh International
And so [the man] had fruit in abundance. And [one day] he said to his friend, bandying words with him, "More wealth have I than thou, and mightier am I as regards [the number and power of my] followers!"
সে ফল পেল। অতঃপর কথা প্রসঙ্গে সঙ্গীকে বললঃ আমার ধন-সম্পদ তোমার চাইতে বেশী এবং জনবলে আমি অধিক শক্তিশালী।
وَدَخَلَ جَنَّتَهُۥ وَهُوَ ظَالِمٌۭ لِّنَفْسِهِۦ قَالَ مَآ أَظُنُّ أَن تَبِيدَ هَٰذِهِۦٓ أَبَدًۭا 35
Saheeh International
And having [thus] sinned against himself, he entered his garden, saying, "I do not think that this will ever perish!
নিজের প্রতি জুলুম করে সে তার বাগানে প্রবেশ করল। সে বললঃ আমার মনে হয় না যে, এ বাগান কখনও ধ্বংস হয়ে যাবে।
وَمَآ أَظُنُّ ٱلسَّاعَةَ قَآئِمَةًۭ وَلَئِن رُّدِدتُّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّى لَأَجِدَنَّ خَيْرًۭا مِّنْهَا مُنقَلَبًۭا 36
Saheeh International
And neither do I think that the Last Hour will ever come. But even if [it should come, and] I am brought before my Sustainer, I will surely find something even better than this as [my last] resort!"
এবং আমি মনে করি না যে, কেয়ামত অনুষ্ঠিত হবে। যদি কখনও আমার পালনকর্তার কাছে আমাকে পৌঁছে দেয়া হয়, তবে সেখানে এর চাইতে উৎকৃষ্ট পাব।
قَالَ لَهُۥ صَاحِبُهُۥ وَهُوَ يُحَاوِرُهُۥٓ أَكَفَرْتَ بِٱلَّذِى خَلَقَكَ مِن تُرَابٍۢ ثُمَّ مِن نُّطْفَةٍۢ ثُمَّ سَوَّىٰكَ رَجُلًۭا 37
Saheeh International
And his friend answered him in the course of their argument: "Wilt thou blaspheme against Him who has created thee out of dust, and then out of a drop of sperm, and in the end has fashioned thee into a [complete] man?
তার সঙ্গী তাকে কথা প্রসঙ্গে বললঃ তুমি তাঁকে অস্বীকার করছ, যিনি তোমাকে সৃষ্টি করেছেন মাটি থেকে, অতঃপর বীর্য থেকে, অতঃপর র্পূনাঙ্গ করেছেন তোমাকে মানবাকৃতিতে?
لَّٰكِنَّا۠ هُوَ ٱللَّهُ رَبِّى وَلَآ أُشْرِكُ بِرَبِّىٓ أَحَدًۭا 38
Saheeh International
But as for myself, [I. know that] He is God, my Sustainer; and I cannot attribute divine powers to any but my Sustainer."
কিন্তু আমি তো একথাই বলি, আল্লাহই আমার পালনকর্তা এবং আমি কাউকে আমার পালনকর্তার শরীক মানি না।
وَلَوْلَآ إِذْ دَخَلْتَ جَنَّتَكَ قُلْتَ مَا شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ لَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِٱللَّهِ ۚ إِن تَرَنِ أَنَا۠ أَقَلَّ مِنكَ مَالًۭا وَوَلَدًۭا 39
Saheeh International
And [he continued:] "Alas, if thou hadst but said, on entering thy garden, `Whatever God wills [shall come to pass, for] there is no power save with God!' Although, as thou seest, I have less wealth and offspring than thou,
যদি তুমি আমাকে ধনে ও সন্তানে তোমার চাইতে কম দেখ, তবে যখন তুমি তোমার বাগানে প্রবেশ করলে, তখন একথা কেন বললে না; আল্লাহ যা চান, তাই হয়। আল্লাহর দেয়া ব্যতীত কোন শক্তি নেই।
فَعَسَىٰ رَبِّىٓ أَن يُؤْتِيَنِ خَيْرًۭا مِّن جَنَّتِكَ وَيُرْسِلَ عَلَيْهَا حُسْبَانًۭا مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ فَتُصْبِحَ صَعِيدًۭا زَلَقًا 40
Saheeh International
yet it may well be that my Sustainer will give me something better than thy garden -just as He may let loose a calamity out of heaven upon this [thy garden], so that it becomes a heap of barren dust
আশাকরি আমার পালকর্তা আমাকে তোমার বাগান অপেক্ষা উৎকৃষ্টতর কিছু দেবেন এবং তার (তোমার বাগানের) উপর আসমান থেকে আগুন প্রেরণ করবেন। অতঃপর সকাল বেলায় তা পরিষ্কার ময়দান হয়ে যাবে।
أَوْ يُصْبِحَ مَآؤُهَا غَوْرًۭا فَلَن تَسْتَطِيعَ لَهُۥ طَلَبًۭا 41
Saheeh International
or its water sinks deep into the ground, so that thou wilt never be able to find it again!"
অথবা সকালে তার পানি শুকিয়ে যাবে। অতঃপর তুমি তা তালাশ করে আনতে পারবে না।
وَأُحِيطَ بِثَمَرِهِۦ فَأَصْبَحَ يُقَلِّبُ كَفَّيْهِ عَلَىٰ مَآ أَنفَقَ فِيهَا وَهِىَ خَاوِيَةٌ عَلَىٰ عُرُوشِهَا وَيَقُولُ يَٰلَيْتَنِى لَمْ أُشْرِكْ بِرَبِّىٓ أَحَدًۭا 42
Saheeh International
And [thus it happened:] his fruitful gardens were encompassed [by ruin], and there he was, wringing his hands over all that he had spent on that which now lay waste, with its trellises caved in; and he could but say, "Oh, would that I had not attributed divine powers to any but my Sustainer!"
অতঃপর তার সব ফল ধ্বংস হয়ে গেল এবং সে তাতে যা ব্যয় করেছিল, তার জন্য সকালে হাত কচলিয়ে আক্ষেপ করতে লাগল। বাগনটি কাঠসহ পুড়ে গিয়েছিল। সে বলতে লাগলঃ হায়, আমি যদি কাউকে আমার পালনকর্তার সাথে শরীক না করতাম।
وَلَمْ تَكُن لَّهُۥ فِئَةٌۭ يَنصُرُونَهُۥ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ وَمَا كَانَ مُنتَصِرًا 43
Saheeh International
-for now he had nought to succour him in God's stead, nor could he succour himself.
আল্লাহ ব্যতীত তাকে সাহায্য করার কোন লোক হল না এবং সে নিজেও প্রতিকার করতে পারল না।
هُنَالِكَ ٱلْوَلَٰيَةُ لِلَّهِ ٱلْحَقِّ ۚ هُوَ خَيْرٌۭ ثَوَابًۭا وَخَيْرٌ عُقْبًۭا 44
Saheeh International
For thus it is: all protective power belongs to God alone, the True One. He is the best to grant recompense, and the best to determine what is to be.
এরূপ ক্ষেত্রে সব অধিকার সত্য আল্লাহর। তারই পুরস্কার উত্তম এবং তারই প্রদত্ত প্রতিদান শ্রেষ্ঠ।
وَٱضْرِبْ لَهُم مَّثَلَ ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا كَمَآءٍ أَنزَلْنَٰهُ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ فَٱخْتَلَطَ بِهِۦ نَبَاتُ ٱلْأَرْضِ فَأَصْبَحَ هَشِيمًۭا تَذْرُوهُ ٱلرِّيَٰحُ ۗ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ مُّقْتَدِرًا 45
Saheeh International
AND PROPOUND unto them the parable of the life of this world: [it is] like the water which We send down from the skies, and which is absorbed by the plants of the earth: but [in time] they turn into dry. stubble which the winds blow freely about. And it is God [alone] who determines all things.
তাদের কাছে পার্থিব জীবনের উপমা বর্ণনা করুন। তা পানির ন্যায়, যা আমি আকাশ থেকে নাযিল করি। অতঃপর এর সংমিশ্রণে শ্যামল সবুজ ভূমিজ লতা-পাতা নির্গত হয়; অতঃপর তা এমন শুস্ক চুর্ণ-বিচুর্ণ হয় যে, বাতাসে উড়ে যায়। আল্লাহ এ সবকিছুর উপর শক্তিমান।
ٱلْمَالُ وَٱلْبَنُونَ زِينَةُ ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا ۖ وَٱلْبَٰقِيَٰتُ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتُ خَيْرٌ عِندَ رَبِّكَ ثَوَابًۭا وَخَيْرٌ أَمَلًۭا 46
Saheeh International
Wealth and children are an adornment of this, world's life: but good deeds, the fruit whereof endures forever, are of far greater merit in thy Sustainer's sight, and a far better source of hope.
ধনৈশ্বর্য ও সন্তান-সন্ততি পার্থিব জীবনের সৌন্দর্য এবং স্থায়ী সৎকর্মসমূহ আপনার পালনকর্তার কাছে প্রতিদান প্রাপ্তি ও আশা লাভের জন্যে উত্তম।
وَيَوْمَ نُسَيِّرُ ٱلْجِبَالَ وَتَرَى ٱلْأَرْضَ بَارِزَةًۭ وَحَشَرْنَٰهُمْ فَلَمْ نُغَادِرْ مِنْهُمْ أَحَدًۭا 47
Saheeh International
Hence, [bear in mind] the Day, on which We shall cause the mountains to disappear and thou shalt behold the earth void and bare: for [on that Day] We will [resurrect the dead and] gather them all together, leaving out none of them.
যেদিন আমি পর্বতসমূহকে পরিচালনা করব এবং আপনি পৃথিবীকে দেখবেন একটি উম্মুক্ত প্রান্তর এবং আমি মানুষকে একত্রিত করব অতঃপর তাদের কাউকে ছাড়ব না।
وَعُرِضُوا۟ عَلَىٰ رَبِّكَ صَفًّۭا لَّقَدْ جِئْتُمُونَا كَمَا خَلَقْنَٰكُمْ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍۭ ۚ بَلْ زَعَمْتُمْ أَلَّن نَّجْعَلَ لَكُم مَّوْعِدًۭا 48
Saheeh International
And they will be lined up before thy Sustainer, [and He will say:] "Now, indeed, you have come unto Us [in a lonely state], even as We created you in the first instances - although you were wont to assert that We would never 'appoint for you a meeting [with Us]!"
তারা আপনার পালনকর্তার সামনে পেশ হবে সারিবদ্ধ ভাবে এবং বলা হবেঃ তোমরা আমার কাছে এসে গেছ; যেমন তোমাদেরকে প্রথম বার সৃষ্টি করেছিলাম। না, তোমরা তো বলতে যে, আমি তোমাদের জন্যে কোন প্রতিশ্রুত সময় নির্দিষ্ট করব না।
وَوُضِعَ ٱلْكِتَٰبُ فَتَرَى ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ مُشْفِقِينَ مِمَّا فِيهِ وَيَقُولُونَ يَٰوَيْلَتَنَا مَالِ هَٰذَا ٱلْكِتَٰبِ لَا يُغَادِرُ صَغِيرَةًۭ وَلَا كَبِيرَةً إِلَّآ أَحْصَىٰهَا ۚ وَوَجَدُوا۟ مَا عَمِلُوا۟ حَاضِرًۭا ۗ وَلَا يَظْلِمُ رَبُّكَ أَحَدًۭا 49
Saheeh International
And the record [of everyone's deeds] will be laid open; and thou wilt behold the guilty filled with dread at what [they see] therein; and they will exclaim: "Oh, woe unto us! What a record is this! It leaves out nothing, be it small or great, but takes everything into account!" For they will find all that they ever wrought [now] facing them, and [will know that] thy Sustainer does not wrong anyone.
আর আমলনামা সামনে রাখা হবে। তাতে যা আছে; তার কারণে আপনি অপরাধীদেরকে ভীত-সন্ত্রস্ত দেখবেন। তারা বলবেঃ হায় আফসোস, এ কেমন আমলনামা। এ যে ছোট বড় কোন কিছুই বাদ দেয়নি-সবই এতে রয়েছে। তারা তাদের কৃতকর্মকে সামনে উপস্থিত পাবে। আপনার পালনকর্তা কারও প্রতি জুলুম করবেন না।
وَإِذْ قُلْنَا لِلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ ٱسْجُدُوا۟ لِءَادَمَ فَسَجَدُوٓا۟ إِلَّآ إِبْلِيسَ كَانَ مِنَ ٱلْجِنِّ فَفَسَقَ عَنْ أَمْرِ رَبِّهِۦٓ ۗ أَفَتَتَّخِذُونَهُۥ وَذُرِّيَّتَهُۥٓ أَوْلِيَآءَ مِن دُونِى وَهُمْ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّۢ ۚ بِئْسَ لِلظَّٰلِمِينَ بَدَلًۭا 50
Saheeh International
AND [remember that] when We told the angels, "Prostrate yourselves before Adam," they all prostrated themselves, save Iblis: he [too] was one of those invisible beings, but then he turned away from his Sustainer's command. Will you, then, take him and his cohorts for (your], masters instead of Me, although they are your foe? How vile an exchange on the evildoers' part!
যখন আমি ফেরেশতাদেরকে বললামঃ আদমকে সেজদা কর, তখন সবাই সেজদা করল ইবলীস ব্যতীত। সে ছিল জিনদের একজন। সে তার পালনকর্তার আদেশ অমান্য করল। অতএব তোমরা কি আমার পরিবর্তে তাকে এবং তার বংশধরকে বন্ধুরূপে গ্রহণ করছ? অথচ তারা তোমাদের শত্রু। এটা জালেমদের জন্যে খুবই নিকৃষ্ট বদল।
۞ مَّآ أَشْهَدتُّهُمْ خَلْقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَلَا خَلْقَ أَنفُسِهِمْ وَمَا كُنتُ مُتَّخِذَ ٱلْمُضِلِّينَ عَضُدًۭا 51
Saheeh International
I did not make them witnesses of the creation of the heavens and the earth, nor of the creation of their own selves; and neither do I [have any need to] take as My helpers those [beings] that lead [men] astray.
নভোমন্ডল ও ভুমন্ডলের সৃজনকালে আমি তাদেরকে সাক্ষ্য রাখিনি এবং তাদের নিজেদের সৃজনকালেও না। এবং আমি এমনও নই যে, বিভ্রান্ত কারীদেরকে সাহায্যকারীরূপে গ্রহণ করবো।
وَيَوْمَ يَقُولُ نَادُوا۟ شُرَكَآءِىَ ٱلَّذِينَ زَعَمْتُمْ فَدَعَوْهُمْ فَلَمْ يَسْتَجِيبُوا۟ لَهُمْ وَجَعَلْنَا بَيْنَهُم مَّوْبِقًۭا 52
Saheeh International
Hence, [bear in mind] the Day on which He will say, "Call [now] unto those beings whom you imagined to have a share in My divinity!" - whereupon they will invoke them, but those [beings] will not respond to them: for We shall have placed between them an unbridgeable gulf.
যেদিন তিনি বলবেনঃ তোমরা যাদেরকে আমার শরীক মনে করতে তাদেরকে ডাক। তারা তখন তাদেরকে ডাকবে, কিন্তু তারা এ আহবানে সাড়া দেবে না। আমি তাদের মধ্যস্থলে রেখে দেব একটি মৃত্যু গহবর।
وَرَءَا ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ ٱلنَّارَ فَظَنُّوٓا۟ أَنَّهُم مُّوَاقِعُوهَا وَلَمْ يَجِدُوا۟ عَنْهَا مَصْرِفًۭا 53
Saheeh International
And those who were lost in sin will behold the fire, and will know that they are bound to fall into it, and will find no way of escape therefrom.
অপরাধীরা আগুন দেখে বোঝে নেবে যে, তাদেরকে তাতে পতিত হতে হবে এবং তারা তা থেকে রাস্তা পরিবর্তন করতে পারবে না।
وَلَقَدْ صَرَّفْنَا فِى هَٰذَا ٱلْقُرْءَانِ لِلنَّاسِ مِن كُلِّ مَثَلٍۢ ۚ وَكَانَ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ أَكْثَرَ شَىْءٍۢ جَدَلًۭا 54
Saheeh International
THUS, INDEED, have We given in this Qur'an many facets to every kind of lesson [designed] for [the benefit of] mankind. However, man is, above all else, always given to contention:
নিশ্চয় আমি এ কোরআনে মানুষকে নানাভাবে বিভিন্ন উপমার দ্বারা আমার বাণী বুঝিয়েছি। মানুষ সব বস্তু থেকে অধিক তর্কপ্রিয়।
وَمَا مَنَعَ ٱلنَّاسَ أَن يُؤْمِنُوٓا۟ إِذْ جَآءَهُمُ ٱلْهُدَىٰ وَيَسْتَغْفِرُوا۟ رَبَّهُمْ إِلَّآ أَن تَأْتِيَهُمْ سُنَّةُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ أَوْ يَأْتِيَهُمُ ٱلْعَذَابُ قُبُلًۭا 55
Saheeh International
for, what is there to keep people from attaining to faith now that guidance has come unto them, and from asking their Sustainer to forgive them their sins - unless it be [their wish] that the fate of the [sinful] people of ancient times should befall them [as well], or that the [ultimate] suffering should befall them in the hereafter?
হেদায়েত আসার পর এ প্রতীক্ষাই শুধু মানুষকে বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করতে এবং তাদের পালনকর্তার কাছে ক্ষমা প্রার্থনা করতে বিরত রাখে যে, কখন আসবে তাদের কাছে পূর্ববর্তীদের রীতিনীতি অথবা কখন আসবে তাদের কাছেআযাব সামনাসামনি।
وَمَا نُرْسِلُ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ إِلَّا مُبَشِّرِينَ وَمُنذِرِينَ ۚ وَيُجَٰدِلُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ بِٱلْبَٰطِلِ لِيُدْحِضُوا۟ بِهِ ٱلْحَقَّ ۖ وَٱتَّخَذُوٓا۟ ءَايَٰتِى وَمَآ أُنذِرُوا۟ هُزُوًۭا 56
Saheeh International
But We send [Our] message-bearers only as heralds of glad tidings and as warners - whereas those who are bent on denying the truth contend [against them] with fallacious arguments, so as to render void the truth thereby, and to make My messages and warnings a target of their mockery.
আমি রাসূলগনকে সুসংবাদ দাতা ও ভয় প্রদর্শন কারীরূপেই প্রেরণ করি এবং কাফেররাই মিথ্যা অবলম্বনে বিতর্ক করে, তা দ্বারা সত্যকে ব্যর্থ করে দেয়ার উদ্দেশে এবং তারা আমার নিদর্শনাবলীও যদ্বারা তাদেরকে ভয় প্রদর্শন করা হয়, সেগুলোকে ঠাট্টারূপে গ্রহণ করেছে।
وَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّن ذُكِّرَ بِـَٔايَٰتِ رَبِّهِۦ فَأَعْرَضَ عَنْهَا وَنَسِىَ مَا قَدَّمَتْ يَدَاهُ ۚ إِنَّا جَعَلْنَا عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمْ أَكِنَّةً أَن يَفْقَهُوهُ وَفِىٓ ءَاذَانِهِمْ وَقْرًۭا ۖ وَإِن تَدْعُهُمْ إِلَى ٱلْهُدَىٰ فَلَن يَهْتَدُوٓا۟ إِذًا أَبَدًۭا 57
Saheeh International
And who could be more wicked than he to whom his Sustainer's messages are conveyed and who thereupon turns away from them, forgetting all [the evil] that his hands may have wrought? Behold, over their hearts have We laid veils which prevent them from grasping the truth, and into their ears, deafness; and though thou call them onto the right path, they will never allow themselves to be guided.
তার চাইতে অধিক জালেম কে, যাকে তার পালনকর্তার কালাম দ্বারা বোঝানো হয়, অতঃপর সে তা থেকে মুখ ফিরিয়ে নেয় এবং তার পূর্ববর্তী কৃতকর্মসমূহ ভুলে যায়? আমি তাদের অন্তরের উপর পর্দা রেখে দিয়েছি, যেন তা না বোঝে এবং তাদের কানে রয়েছে বধিরতার বোঝা। যদি আপনি তাদেরকে সৎপথের প্রতি দাওয়াত দেন, তবে কখনই তারা সৎপথে আসবে না।
وَرَبُّكَ ٱلْغَفُورُ ذُو ٱلرَّحْمَةِ ۖ لَوْ يُؤَاخِذُهُم بِمَا كَسَبُوا۟ لَعَجَّلَ لَهُمُ ٱلْعَذَابَ ۚ بَل لَّهُم مَّوْعِدٌۭ لَّن يَجِدُوا۟ مِن دُونِهِۦ مَوْئِلًۭا 58
Saheeh International
Yet, [withal,] thy Sustainer is the Truly-Forgiving One, limitless in His grace. Were He to take them [at once] to task for whatever [wrong] they commit, He would indeed bring about their speedy punishment [then and there]: but nay, they have a time-limit beyond which they shall find no redemption
আপনার পালনকর্তা ক্ষমাশীল, দয়ালু, যদি তিনি তাদেরকে তাদের কৃতকর্মের জন্যে পাকড়াও করেন তবে তাদের শাস্তি ত্বরাম্বিত করতেন, কিন্তু তাদের জন্য রয়েছে একটি প্রতিশ্রুত সময়, যা থেকে তারা সরে যাওয়ার জায়গা পাবে না।
وَتِلْكَ ٱلْقُرَىٰٓ أَهْلَكْنَٰهُمْ لَمَّا ظَلَمُوا۟ وَجَعَلْنَا لِمَهْلِكِهِم مَّوْعِدًۭا 59
Saheeh International
as [was the case with all] those communities that We destroyed when they went on and on doing wrong: for We had set a time-limit for their destruction.
এসব জনপদও তাদেরকে আমি ধংস করে দিয়েছি, যখন তারা জালেম হয়ে গিয়েছিল এবং আমি তাদের ধ্বংসের জন্যে একটি প্রতিশ্রুত সময় নির্দিষ্ট করেছিলাম।
وَإِذْ قَالَ مُوسَىٰ لِفَتَىٰهُ لَآ أَبْرَحُ حَتَّىٰٓ أَبْلُغَ مَجْمَعَ ٱلْبَحْرَيْنِ أَوْ أَمْضِىَ حُقُبًۭا 60
Saheeh International
AND LO! [In the course of his wanderings,] Moses said to his servant: "I shall not give up until I reach the junction of the two seas, even if I [have to] spend untold years [in my quest]!"
যখন মূসা তাঁর যুবক (সঙ্গী) কে বললেনঃ দুই সমুদ্রের সঙ্গমস্থলে না পৌছা পর্যন্ত আমি আসব না অথবা আমি যুগ যুগ ধরে চলতে থাকব।
فَلَمَّا بَلَغَا مَجْمَعَ بَيْنِهِمَا نَسِيَا حُوتَهُمَا فَٱتَّخَذَ سَبِيلَهُۥ فِى ٱلْبَحْرِ سَرَبًۭا 61
Saheeh International
But when they reached the junction between the two [seas], they forgot all about their fish, and it took its way into the sea and disappeared from sight.
অতঃপর যখন তাঁরা দুই সুমুদ্রের সঙ্গমস্থলে পৌছালেন, তখন তাঁরা নিজেদের মাছের কথা ভুলে গেলেন। অতঃপর মাছটি সমুদ্রে সুড়ঙ্গ পথ সৃষ্টি করে নেমে গেল।
فَلَمَّا جَاوَزَا قَالَ لِفَتَىٰهُ ءَاتِنَا غَدَآءَنَا لَقَدْ لَقِينَا مِن سَفَرِنَا هَٰذَا نَصَبًۭا 62
Saheeh International
And after the two had walked some distance, [Moses] said to his servant: "Bring us our mid-day meal; we have indeed suffered hardship on this [day of] our journey!"
যখন তাঁরা সে স্থানটি অতিক্রম করে গেলেন, মূসা সঙ্গী কে বললেনঃ আমাদের নাশতা আন। আমরা এই সফরে পরিশ্রান্ত হয়ে পড়েছি।
قَالَ أَرَءَيْتَ إِذْ أَوَيْنَآ إِلَى ٱلصَّخْرَةِ فَإِنِّى نَسِيتُ ٱلْحُوتَ وَمَآ أَنسَىٰنِيهُ إِلَّا ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ أَنْ أَذْكُرَهُۥ ۚ وَٱتَّخَذَ سَبِيلَهُۥ فِى ٱلْبَحْرِ عَجَبًۭا 63
Saheeh International
Said [the servant]: "Wouldst thou believe it? When we betook ourselves to that rock for a rest, behold, I forgot about the fish-and none but Satan made me thus forget it - and it took its way into the sea! How strange!"
সে বললঃ আপনি কি লক্ষ্য করেছেন, আমরা যখন প্রস্তর খন্ডে আশ্রয় নিয়েছিলাম, তখন আমি মাছের কথা ভুলে গিয়েছিলাম। শয়তানই আমাকে একথা স্মরণ রাখতে ভুলিয়ে দিয়েছিল। মাছটি আশ্চর্য জনক ভাবে সমুদ্রে নিজের পথ করে নিয়েছে।
قَالَ ذَٰلِكَ مَا كُنَّا نَبْغِ ۚ فَٱرْتَدَّا عَلَىٰٓ ءَاثَارِهِمَا قَصَصًۭا 64
Saheeh International
[Moses] exclaimed: "That [was the place] which we were seeking!, And the two turned back, retracing their footsetps,
মূসা বললেনঃ আমরা তো এ স্থানটিই খুঁজছিলাম। অতঃপর তাঁরা নিজেদের চিহ্ন ধরে ফিরে চললেন।
فَوَجَدَا عَبْدًۭا مِّنْ عِبَادِنَآ ءَاتَيْنَٰهُ رَحْمَةًۭ مِّنْ عِندِنَا وَعَلَّمْنَٰهُ مِن لَّدُنَّا عِلْمًۭا 65
Saheeh International
and found one of Our servants, on whom We had bestowed grace from Ourselves and unto whom We had imparted knowledge [issuing] from Ourselves.
অতঃপর তাঁরা আমার বান্দাদের মধ্যে এমন একজনের সাক্ষাত পেলেন, যাকে আমি আমার পক্ষ থেকে রহমত দান করেছিলাম ও আমার পক্ষ থেকে দিয়েছিলাম এক বিশেষ জ্ঞান।
قَالَ لَهُۥ مُوسَىٰ هَلْ أَتَّبِعُكَ عَلَىٰٓ أَن تُعَلِّمَنِ مِمَّا عُلِّمْتَ رُشْدًۭا 66
Saheeh International
Moses said unto him: "May I follow thee on the understanding that thou wilt impart to me something of that consciousness of what is right which has been imparted to thee?"
মূসা তাঁকে বললেনঃ আমি কি এ শর্তে আপনার অনুসরণ করতে পারি যে, সত্যপথের যে জ্ঞান আপনাকে শেখানো হয়েছে, তা থেকে আমাকে কিছু শিক্ষা দেবেন?
قَالَ إِنَّكَ لَن تَسْتَطِيعَ مَعِىَ صَبْرًۭا 67
Saheeh International
[The other] answered: "Behold, thou wilt never be able to have patience with me –
তিনি বললেনঃ আপনি আমার সাথে কিছুতেই ধৈর্য্যধারণ করে থাকতে পারবেন না।
وَكَيْفَ تَصْبِرُ عَلَىٰ مَا لَمْ تُحِطْ بِهِۦ خُبْرًۭا 68
Saheeh International
for how couldst thou be patient about something that thou canst not comprehend within the compass of (thy] experience?"
যে বিষয় বোঝা আপনার আয়ত্তাধীন নয়, তা দেখে আপনি ধৈর্য্যধারণ করবেন কেমন করে?
قَالَ سَتَجِدُنِىٓ إِن شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ صَابِرًۭا وَلَآ أَعْصِى لَكَ أَمْرًۭا 69
Saheeh International
Replied [Moses]: "Thou wilt find me patient, if God so wills; and I shall not disobey thee in anything!"
মূসা বললেনঃ আল্লাহ চাহেন তো আপনি আমাকে ধৈর্য্যশীল পাবেন এবং আমি আপনার কোন আদেশ অমান্য করব না।
قَالَ فَإِنِ ٱتَّبَعْتَنِى فَلَا تَسْـَٔلْنِى عَن شَىْءٍ حَتَّىٰٓ أُحْدِثَ لَكَ مِنْهُ ذِكْرًۭا 70
Saheeh International
Said [the sage]: "Well, then, if thou art to follow me, do not question me about aught [that I may do] until I myself give thee an account thereof."
তিনি বললেনঃ যদি আপনি আমার অনুসরণ করেনই তবে কোন বিষয়ে আমাকে প্রশ্ন করবেন না, যে পর্যন্ত না আমি নিজেই সে সম্পর্কে আপনাকে কিছু বলি।
فَٱنطَلَقَا حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا رَكِبَا فِى ٱلسَّفِينَةِ خَرَقَهَا ۖ قَالَ أَخَرَقْتَهَا لِتُغْرِقَ أَهْلَهَا لَقَدْ جِئْتَ شَيْـًٔا إِمْرًۭا 71
Saheeh International
And so the two went on their way, till (they reached the seashore; and] when they disembarked from the boat [that had ferried them across], the sage made a hole in it-[whereupon Moses] exclaimed: "Hast thou made a hole in it in order to drown the people who may be [travelling] in it? Indeed, thou hast done a grievous thing!"
অতঃপর তারা চলতে লাগলঃ অবশেষে যখন তারা নৌকায় আরোহণ করল, তখন তিনি তাতে ছিদ্র করে দিলেন। মূসা বললেনঃ আপনি কি এর আরোহীদেরকে ডুবিয়ে দেয়ার জন্যে এতে ছিদ্র করে দিলেন? নিশ্চয়ই আপনি একটি গুরুতর মন্দ কাজ করলেন।
قَالَ أَلَمْ أَقُلْ إِنَّكَ لَن تَسْتَطِيعَ مَعِىَ صَبْرًۭا 72
Saheeh International
He replied: "Did I not tell thee that thou wilt never be able to have patience with me?"
তিনি বললেনঃ আমি কি বলিনি যে, আপনি আমার সাথে কিছুতেই ধৈর্য্য ধরতে পারবেন না ?
قَالَ لَا تُؤَاخِذْنِى بِمَا نَسِيتُ وَلَا تُرْهِقْنِى مِنْ أَمْرِى عُسْرًۭا 73
Saheeh International
Said [Moses]: "Take-me not to task for my having forgotten [myself], and be not hard on me on account of what I have done!"
মূসা বললেনঃ আমাকে আমার ভুলের জন্যে অপরাধী করবেন না এবং আমার কাজে আমার উপর কঠোরতা আরোপ করবেন না।
فَٱنطَلَقَا حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا لَقِيَا غُلَٰمًۭا فَقَتَلَهُۥ قَالَ أَقَتَلْتَ نَفْسًۭا زَكِيَّةًۢ بِغَيْرِ نَفْسٍۢ لَّقَدْ جِئْتَ شَيْـًۭٔا نُّكْرًۭا 74
Saheeh International
And so the two went on, till, when they met a young man, [the sage] slew him -(whereupon Moses] exclaimed: "Hast thou slain an innocent human being without [his having taken] another man's life? Indeed, thou hast done a terrible thing!"
অতঃপর তারা চলতে লাগল। অবশেষে যখন একটি বালকের সাক্ষাত পেলেন, তখন তিনি তাকে হত্যা করলেন। মূসা বললেন? আপনি কি একটি নিস্পাপ জীবন শেষ করে দিলেন প্রাণের বিনিময় ছাড়াই? নিশ্চয়ই আপনি তো এক গুরুতর অন্যায় কাজ করলেন।
۞ قَالَ أَلَمْ أَقُل لَّكَ إِنَّكَ لَن تَسْتَطِيعَ مَعِىَ صَبْرًۭا 75
Saheeh International
He replied: "Did I not tell thee that thou wilt never be able to have patience with me?"
তিনি বললেনঃ আমি কি বলিনি যে, আপনি আমার সাথে ধৈর্য্য ধরে থাকতে পারবেন না।
قَالَ إِن سَأَلْتُكَ عَن شَىْءٍۭ بَعْدَهَا فَلَا تُصَٰحِبْنِى ۖ قَدْ بَلَغْتَ مِن لَّدُنِّى عُذْرًۭا 76
Saheeh International
Said [Moses]: "If, after this, I should ever question thee, keep me not in thy company: [for by] now thou hast heard enough excuses from me."
মূসা বললেনঃ এরপর যদি আমি আপনাকে কোন বিষয়ে প্রশ্ন করি, তবে আপনি আমাকে সাথে রাখবেন না। আপনি আমার পক্ষ থেকে অভিযোগ মুক্ত হয়ে গেছেন।
فَٱنطَلَقَا حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَآ أَتَيَآ أَهْلَ قَرْيَةٍ ٱسْتَطْعَمَآ أَهْلَهَا فَأَبَوْا۟ أَن يُضَيِّفُوهُمَا فَوَجَدَا فِيهَا جِدَارًۭا يُرِيدُ أَن يَنقَضَّ فَأَقَامَهُۥ ۖ قَالَ لَوْ شِئْتَ لَتَّخَذْتَ عَلَيْهِ أَجْرًۭا 77
Saheeh International
And so the two went on, till, when they came upon some village people, they asked them for food; but those [people] refused them all hospitality. And they saw in that (village] a wall which was on the point of tumbling down, and [the sage] rebuilt it [whereupon Moses] said: "Hadst thou so wished, surely thou couldst [at least] have obtained some payment for it?"
অতঃপর তারা চলতে লাগল, অবশেষে যখন একটি জনপদের অধিবাসীদের কাছে পৌছে তাদের কাছে খাবার চাইল, তখন তারা তাদের অতিথেয়তা করতে অস্বীকার করল। অতঃপর তারা সেখানে একটি পতনোম্মুখ প্রাচীর দেখতে পেলেন, সেটি তিনি সোজা করে দাঁড় করিয়ে দিলেন। মূসা বললেনঃ আপনি ইচ্ছা করলে তাদের কাছ থেকে এর পারিশ্রমিক আদায় করতে পারতেন।
قَالَ هَٰذَا فِرَاقُ بَيْنِى وَبَيْنِكَ ۚ سَأُنَبِّئُكَ بِتَأْوِيلِ مَا لَمْ تَسْتَطِع عَّلَيْهِ صَبْرًا 78
Saheeh International
[The sage] replied: "This is the parting of ways between me and thee. [And now] I shall let thee know the real meaning of all [those events] that thou wert unable to bear with patience:,
তিনি বললেনঃ এখানেই আমার ও আপনার মধ্যে সম্পর্কচ্ছেদ হল। এখন যে বিষয়ে আপনি ধৈর্য্য ধরতে পারেননি, আমি তার তাৎপর্য বলে দিচ্ছি।
أَمَّا ٱلسَّفِينَةُ فَكَانَتْ لِمَسَٰكِينَ يَعْمَلُونَ فِى ٱلْبَحْرِ فَأَرَدتُّ أَنْ أَعِيبَهَا وَكَانَ وَرَآءَهُم مَّلِكٌۭ يَأْخُذُ كُلَّ سَفِينَةٍ غَصْبًۭا 79
Saheeh International
"As for that boat, it belonged to some needy people who toiled upon the sea -and I desired to damage it because (I knew that] behind them was a king who is wont to seize every boat by brute force.
নৌকাটির ব্যাপারে-সেটি ছিল কয়েকজন দরিদ্র ব্যক্তির। তারা সমুদ্রে জীবিকা অন্বেষন করত। আমি ইচ্ছা করলাম যে, সেটিকে ক্রটিযুক্ত করে দেই। তাদের অপরদিকে ছিল এক বাদশাহ। সে বলপ্রয়োগে প্রত্যেকটি নৌকা ছিনিয়ে নিত।
وَأَمَّا ٱلْغُلَٰمُ فَكَانَ أَبَوَاهُ مُؤْمِنَيْنِ فَخَشِينَآ أَن يُرْهِقَهُمَا طُغْيَٰنًۭا وَكُفْرًۭا 80
Saheeh International
"And as for that young man, his parents were [true] believers - whereas we had every reason to fear that he would bring bitter grief upon them by [his] overweening wickedness and denial of all truth:
বালকটির ব্যাপার তার পিতা-মাতা ছিল ঈমানদার। আমি আশঙ্কা করলাম যে, সে অবাধ্যতা ও কুফর দ্বারা তাদেরকে প্রভাবিত করবে।
فَأَرَدْنَآ أَن يُبْدِلَهُمَا رَبُّهُمَا خَيْرًۭا مِّنْهُ زَكَوٰةًۭ وَأَقْرَبَ رُحْمًۭا 81
Saheeh International
and so we desired that their Sustainer grant them in his stead [a child] of greater purity than him, and closer [to them] in loving tenderness.
অতঃপর আমি ইচ্ছা করলাম যে, তাদের পালনকর্তা তাদেরকে মহত্তর, তার চাইতে পবিত্রতায় ও ভালবাসায় ঘনিষ্ঠতর একটি শ্রেষ্ঠ সন্তান দান করুক।
وَأَمَّا ٱلْجِدَارُ فَكَانَ لِغُلَٰمَيْنِ يَتِيمَيْنِ فِى ٱلْمَدِينَةِ وَكَانَ تَحْتَهُۥ كَنزٌۭ لَّهُمَا وَكَانَ أَبُوهُمَا صَٰلِحًۭا فَأَرَادَ رَبُّكَ أَن يَبْلُغَآ أَشُدَّهُمَا وَيَسْتَخْرِجَا كَنزَهُمَا رَحْمَةًۭ مِّن رَّبِّكَ ۚ وَمَا فَعَلْتُهُۥ عَنْ أَمْرِى ۚ ذَٰلِكَ تَأْوِيلُ مَا لَمْ تَسْطِع عَّلَيْهِ صَبْرًۭا 82
Saheeh International
"And as for that wall, it belonged to two orphan boys [living] in the town, and beneath it was [buried] a treasure belonging to them [by right]. Now their father had been a righteous man, and so thy Sustainer willed it that when they come of age they should bring forth their treasure by thy Sustainer's grace. "And I did not do (any of] this of my own accord: this is the real meaning of all [those events] that thou wert unable to bear with patience."
প্রাচীরের ব্যাপার-সেটি ছিল নগরের দুজন পিতৃহীন বালকের। এর নীচে ছিল তাদের গুপ্তধন এবং তাদের পিতা ছিল সৎকর্ম পরায়ন। সুতরাং আপনার পালনকর্তা দায়বশতঃ ইচ্ছা করলেন যে, তারা যৌবনে পদার্পন করুক এবং নিজেদের গুপ্তধন উদ্ধার করুক। আমি নিজ মতে এটা করিনি। আপনি যে বিষয়ে ধৈর্য্যধারণ করতে অক্ষম হয়েছিলেন, এই হল তার ব্যাখ্যা।
وَيَسْـَٔلُونَكَ عَن ذِى ٱلْقَرْنَيْنِ ۖ قُلْ سَأَتْلُوا۟ عَلَيْكُم مِّنْهُ ذِكْرًا 83
Saheeh International
AND THEY will ask thee about the Two-Horned One. Say: "I will convey unto you something by which he ought to be remembered."
তারা আপনাকে যুলকারনাইন সম্পর্কে জিজ্ঞাসা করে। বলুনঃ আমি তোমাদের কাছে তাঁর কিছু অবস্থা বর্ণনা করব।
إِنَّا مَكَّنَّا لَهُۥ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَءَاتَيْنَٰهُ مِن كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ سَبَبًۭا 84
Saheeh International
Behold, We established him securely on earth, and endowed him with [the knowledge of] the right means to achieve anything [that he might set out to achieve];
আমি তাকে পৃথিবীতে প্রতিষ্ঠিত করেছিলাম এবং প্রত্যেক বিষয়ের কার্যোপকরণ দান করেছিলাম।
فَأَتْبَعَ سَبَبًا 85
Saheeh International
and so he chose the right means [in whatever he did].
অতঃপর তিনি এক কার্যোপকরণ অবলম্বন করলেন।
حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا بَلَغَ مَغْرِبَ ٱلشَّمْسِ وَجَدَهَا تَغْرُبُ فِى عَيْنٍ حَمِئَةٍۢ وَوَجَدَ عِندَهَا قَوْمًۭا ۗ قُلْنَا يَٰذَا ٱلْقَرْنَيْنِ إِمَّآ أَن تُعَذِّبَ وَإِمَّآ أَن تَتَّخِذَ فِيهِمْ حُسْنًۭا 86
Saheeh International
[And he marched westwards] till, when he came to the setting of the sun, it appeared to him that it was setting in a dark, turbid sea; and nearby he found a people [given to every kind of wrongdoing]. We said: "O thou Two-Horned One! Thou mayest either cause [them] to suffer or treat them with kindness!"
অবশেষে তিনি যখন সুর্যের অস্তাচলে পৌছলেন; তখন তিনি সুর্যকে এক পঙ্কিল জলাশয়ে অস্ত যেতে দেখলেন এবং তিনি সেখানে এক সম্প্রদায়কে দেখতে পেলেন। আমি বললাম, হে যুলকারনাইন! আপনি তাদেরকে শাস্তি দিতে পারেন অথবা তাদেরকে সদয়ভাবে গ্রহণ করতে পারেন।
قَالَ أَمَّا مَن ظَلَمَ فَسَوْفَ نُعَذِّبُهُۥ ثُمَّ يُرَدُّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِۦ فَيُعَذِّبُهُۥ عَذَابًۭا نُّكْرًۭا 87
Saheeh International
He answered: "As for him who does wrong [unto others] - him shall we, in time, cause to suffer; and thereupon he shall be referred to his Sustainer, and He will cause him to suffer with unnameable suffering.
তিনি বললেনঃ যে কেউ সীমালঙ্ঘনকারী হবে আমি তাকে শাস্তি দেব। অতঃপর তিনি তাঁর পালনকর্তার কাছে ফিরে যাবেন। তিনি তাকে কঠোর শাস্তি দেবেন।
وَأَمَّا مَنْ ءَامَنَ وَعَمِلَ صَٰلِحًۭا فَلَهُۥ جَزَآءً ٱلْحُسْنَىٰ ۖ وَسَنَقُولُ لَهُۥ مِنْ أَمْرِنَا يُسْرًۭا 88
Saheeh International
But as for him who believes and does righteous deeds - he will have the ultimate good [of the life to come] as his reward; and [as for us,] we shall make binding on him [only] that which is easy to fulfill."
এবং যে বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করে ও সৎকর্ম করে তার জন্য প্রতিদান রয়েছে কল্যাণ এবং আমার কাজে তাকে সহজ নির্দেশ দেব।
ثُمَّ أَتْبَعَ سَبَبًا 89
Saheeh International
And once again he chose the right means [to achieve a right end].
অতঃপর তিনি এক উপায় অবলম্বন করলেন।
حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا بَلَغَ مَطْلِعَ ٱلشَّمْسِ وَجَدَهَا تَطْلُعُ عَلَىٰ قَوْمٍۢ لَّمْ نَجْعَل لَّهُم مِّن دُونِهَا سِتْرًۭا 90
Saheeh International
[And then he marched eastwards] till, when he came to the rising of the sun he found that it was rising on a people for whom We had provided no coverings against it:
অবশেষে তিনি যখন সূর্যের উদয়াচলে পৌছলেন, তখন তিনি তাকে এমন এক সম্প্রদায়ের উপর উদয় হতে দেখলেন, যাদের জন্যে সূর্যতাপ থেকে আত্নরক্ষার কোন আড়াল আমি সৃষ্টি করিনি।
كَذَٰلِكَ وَقَدْ أَحَطْنَا بِمَا لَدَيْهِ خُبْرًۭا 91
Saheeh International
thus [We had made them, and thus he left them; and We did encompass with Our knowledge all that he had in mind
প্রকৃত ঘটনা এমনিই। তার বৃত্তান্ত আমি সম্যক অবগত আছি।
ثُمَّ أَتْبَعَ سَبَبًا 92
Saheeh International
And once again he chose the right means (to achieve a right end].
আবার তিনি এক পথ ধরলেন।
حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا بَلَغَ بَيْنَ ٱلسَّدَّيْنِ وَجَدَ مِن دُونِهِمَا قَوْمًۭا لَّا يَكَادُونَ يَفْقَهُونَ قَوْلًۭا 93
Saheeh International
[And he marched on] till, when he reached [a place] between the two mountain-barriers, he found beneath them a people who could scarcely understand a word [of his language].
অবশেষে যখন তিনি দুই পর্বত প্রচীরের মধ্যস্থলে পৌছলেন, তখন তিনি সেখানে এক জাতিকে পেলেন, যারা তাঁর কথা একেবারেই বুঝতে পারছিল না।
قَالُوا۟ يَٰذَا ٱلْقَرْنَيْنِ إِنَّ يَأْجُوجَ وَمَأْجُوجَ مُفْسِدُونَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَهَلْ نَجْعَلُ لَكَ خَرْجًا عَلَىٰٓ أَن تَجْعَلَ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَهُمْ سَدًّۭا 94
Saheeh International
They said: "O thou Two-Horned One! Behold, Gog and Magog" are spoiling this land. May we, then, pay unto thee a tribute on the understanding that thou wilt erect a barrier between us and them?"
তারা বললঃ হে যুলকারনাইন, ইয়াজুজ ও মাজুজ দেশে অশান্তি সৃষ্টি করেছে। আপনি বললে আমরা আপনার জন্যে কিছু কর ধার্য করব এই শর্তে যে, আপনি আমাদের ও তাদের মধ্যে একটি প্রাচীর নির্মাণ করে দেবেন।
قَالَ مَا مَكَّنِّى فِيهِ رَبِّى خَيْرٌۭ فَأَعِينُونِى بِقُوَّةٍ أَجْعَلْ بَيْنَكُمْ وَبَيْنَهُمْ رَدْمًا 95
Saheeh International
He answered: "That wherein my Sustainer has so securely established me is better [than anything that you could give me]; hence, do but help me with [your labour's] strength, [and] I shall erect a rampart between you and them!
তিনি বললেনঃ আমার পালনকর্তা আমাকে যে সামর্থ?2470;িয়েছেন, তাই যথেষ্ট। অতএব, তোমরা আমাকে শ্রম দিয়ে সাহায্য কর। আমি তোমাদের ও তাদের মধ্যে একটি সুদৃঢ় প্রাচীর নির্মাণ করে দেব।
ءَاتُونِى زُبَرَ ٱلْحَدِيدِ ۖ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا سَاوَىٰ بَيْنَ ٱلصَّدَفَيْنِ قَالَ ٱنفُخُوا۟ ۖ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا جَعَلَهُۥ نَارًۭا قَالَ ءَاتُونِىٓ أُفْرِغْ عَلَيْهِ قِطْرًۭا 96
Saheeh International
Bring me ingots of iron!" Then, after he had [piled up the iron and] filled the gap between the two mountain-sides, he said: "[Light a fire and] ply your bellows!" At length, when he had made it [glow like] fire, he commanded: "Bring me molten copper which I may pour upon it."
তোমরা আমাকে লোহার পাত এনে দাও। অবশেষে যখন পাহাড়ের মধ্যবর্তী ফাঁকা স্থান পূর্ণ হয়ে গেল, তখন তিনি বললেনঃ তোমরা হাঁপরে দম দিতে থাক। অবশেষে যখন তা আগুনে পরিণত হল, তখন তিনি বললেনঃ তোমরা গলিত তামা নিয়ে এস, আমি তা এর উপরে ঢেলে দেই।
فَمَا ٱسْطَٰعُوٓا۟ أَن يَظْهَرُوهُ وَمَا ٱسْتَطَٰعُوا۟ لَهُۥ نَقْبًۭا 97
Saheeh International
And thus [the rampart was built, and] their enemies were unable to scale it, and neither were they able to pierce it.
অতঃপর ইয়াজুজ ও মাজুজ তার উপরে আরোহণ করতে পারল না এবং তা ভেদ করতে ও সক্ষম হল না।
قَالَ هَٰذَا رَحْمَةٌۭ مِّن رَّبِّى ۖ فَإِذَا جَآءَ وَعْدُ رَبِّى جَعَلَهُۥ دَكَّآءَ ۖ وَكَانَ وَعْدُ رَبِّى حَقًّۭا 98
Saheeh International
Said [the King]: "This is a mercy from my Sustainer! Yet when the time appointed by my Sustainer shall come, He will make this [rampart] level with the ground: and my Sustainer's promise always comes true!"
যুলকারনাইন বললেনঃ এটা আমার পালনকর্তার অনুগ্রহ। যখন আমার পালনকর্তার প্রতিশ্রুত সময় আসবে, তখন তিনি একে চূর্ণ-বিচূর্ণ করে দেবেন এবং আমার পালনকর্তার প্রতিশ্রুতি সত্য।
۞ وَتَرَكْنَا بَعْضَهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ يَمُوجُ فِى بَعْضٍۢ ۖ وَنُفِخَ فِى ٱلصُّورِ فَجَمَعْنَٰهُمْ جَمْعًۭا 99
Saheeh International
AND ON that Day" We shall [call forth all mankind and] leave them to surge like waves [that dash] against one another; and the trumpet [of judgment] will be blown, and We shall gather them all together.
আমি সেদিন তাদেরকে দলে দলে তরঙ্গের আকারে ছেড়ে দেব এবং শিঙ্গায় ফুঁৎকার দেয়া হবে। অতঃপর আমি তাদের সবাইকে একত্রিত করে আনব।
وَعَرَضْنَا جَهَنَّمَ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ لِّلْكَٰفِرِينَ عَرْضًا 100
Saheeh International
And on that Day We shall place hell, for all to see, before those who denied the truth-
সেদিন আমি কাফেরদের কাছে জাহান্নামকে প্রত্যক্ষ ভাবে উপস্থিত করব।
ٱلَّذِينَ كَانَتْ أَعْيُنُهُمْ فِى غِطَآءٍ عَن ذِكْرِى وَكَانُوا۟ لَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ سَمْعًا 101
Saheeh International
those whose eyes had been veiled against any remembrance of Me because they could not bear to listen [to the voice of truth]!
যাদের চক্ষুসমূহের উপর পর্দা ছিল আমার স্মরণ থেকে এবং যারা শুনতেও সক্ষম ছিল না।
أَفَحَسِبَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓا۟ أَن يَتَّخِذُوا۟ عِبَادِى مِن دُونِىٓ أَوْلِيَآءَ ۚ إِنَّآ أَعْتَدْنَا جَهَنَّمَ لِلْكَٰفِرِينَ نُزُلًۭا 102
Saheeh International
Do they who are bent on denying the truth think, perchance, that they could take [any of] My creatures for protectors against Me? Verily, We have readied hell to welcome all who [thus] deny the truth!
কাফেররা কি মনে করে যে, তারা আমার পরিবর্তে আমার বান্দাদেরকে অভিভাবক রূপে গ্রহণ করবে? আমি কাফেরদের অভ্যর্থনার জন্যে জাহান্নামকে প্রস্তুত করে রেখেছি।
قُلْ هَلْ نُنَبِّئُكُم بِٱلْأَخْسَرِينَ أَعْمَٰلًا 103
Saheeh International
Say: "Shall we tell you who are the greatest losers in whatever they may do?
বলুনঃ আমি কি তোমাদেরকে সেসব লোকের সংবাদ দেব, যারা কর্মের দিক দিয়ে খুবই ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত।
ٱلَّذِينَ ضَلَّ سَعْيُهُمْ فِى ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَهُمْ يَحْسَبُونَ أَنَّهُمْ يُحْسِنُونَ صُنْعًا 104
Saheeh International
"[It is] they whose labour has gone astray in [the pursuit of no more than] this world's life, and who none the less think that they are doing good works:
তারাই সে লোক, যাদের প্রচেষ্টা পার্থিবজীবনে বিভ্রান্ত হয়, অথচ তারা মনে করে যে, তারা সৎকর্ম করেছে।
أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِ رَبِّهِمْ وَلِقَآئِهِۦ فَحَبِطَتْ أَعْمَٰلُهُمْ فَلَا نُقِيمُ لَهُمْ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ وَزْنًۭا 105
Saheeh International
it is they who have chosen to deny their Sustainer's messages and the truth; that they are deseined to meet Him." Hence, all their [good] deeds come to nought, and no weight shall We assign to them on Resurrection Day.
তারাই সে লোক, যারা তাদের পালনকর্তার নিদর্শনাবলী এবং তাঁর সাথে সাক্ষাতের বিষয় অস্বীকার করে। ফলে তাদের কর্ম নিষ্ফল হয়ে যায়। সুতরাং কেয়ামতের দিন তাদের জন্য আমি কোন গুরুত্ব স্থির করব না।
ذَٰلِكَ جَزَآؤُهُمْ جَهَنَّمُ بِمَا كَفَرُوا۟ وَٱتَّخَذُوٓا۟ ءَايَٰتِى وَرُسُلِى هُزُوًا 106
Saheeh International
That will be their recompense - [their] hell -for having denied the truth and made My messages and My apostles a target of their mockery.
জাহান্নাম-এটাই তাদের প্রতিফল; কারণ, তারা কাফের হয়েছে এবং আমার নিদর্শনাবলী ও রসূলগণকে বিদ্রূপের বিষয় রূপে গ্রহণ করেছে।
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ كَانَتْ لَهُمْ جَنَّٰتُ ٱلْفِرْدَوْسِ نُزُلًا 107
Saheeh International
[But,] verily, as for those who attain to faith and do righteous deeds - the gardens of paradise will be there to welcome them;
যারা বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করে ও সৎকর্ম সম্পাদন করে, তাদের অভ্যর্থনার জন্যে আছে জান্নাতুল ফেরদাউস।
خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَا لَا يَبْغُونَ عَنْهَا حِوَلًۭا 108
Saheeh International
therein will they abide, [and] never will they desire any change therefrom.
সেখানে তারা চিরকাল থাকবে, সেখান থেকে স্থান পরিবর্তন করতে চাইবে না।
قُل لَّوْ كَانَ ٱلْبَحْرُ مِدَادًۭا لِّكَلِمَٰتِ رَبِّى لَنَفِدَ ٱلْبَحْرُ قَبْلَ أَن تَنفَدَ كَلِمَٰتُ رَبِّى وَلَوْ جِئْنَا بِمِثْلِهِۦ مَدَدًۭا 109
Saheeh International
SAY: "If all the sea were ink for my Sustainer's words, the sea would indeed be exhausted ere my Sustainer's words are exhausted! And [thus it would be] if we were to add to it sea upon sea."
বলুনঃ আমার পালনকর্তার কথা, লেখার জন্যে যদি সমুদ্রের পানি কালি হয়, তবে আমার পালনকর্তার কথা, শেষ হওয়ার আগেই সে সমুদ্র নিঃশেষিত হয়ে যাবে। সাহায্যার্থে অনুরূপ আরেকটি সমুদ্র এনে দিলেও।
قُلْ إِنَّمَآ أَنَا۠ بَشَرٌۭ مِّثْلُكُمْ يُوحَىٰٓ إِلَىَّ أَنَّمَآ إِلَٰهُكُمْ إِلَٰهٌۭ وَٰحِدٌۭ ۖ فَمَن كَانَ يَرْجُوا۟ لِقَآءَ رَبِّهِۦ فَلْيَعْمَلْ عَمَلًۭا صَٰلِحًۭا وَلَا يُشْرِكْ بِعِبَادَةِ رَبِّهِۦٓ أَحَدًۢا 110
Saheeh International
Say [O Prophet]: "I am but a mortal man like all of you. It has been revealed unto me that your God is the One and Only God. Hence, whoever looks forward [with hope and awe] to meeting his Sustainer [on Judgment Day], let him do righteous deeds, and let him not ascribe unto anyone or anything a share in the worship due to his Sustainer!"
বলুনঃ আমি ও তোমাদের মতই একজন মানুষ, আমার প্রতি প্রত্যাদেশ হয় যে, তোমাদের ইলাহই একমাত্র ইলাহ। অতএব, যে ব্যক্তি তার পালনকর্তার সাক্ষাত কামনা করে, সে যেন, সৎকর্ম সম্পাদন করে এবং তার পালনকর্তার এবাদতে কাউকে শরীক না করে।
